It didn't look good because we were looking close at the picture the moment he finished it, the painting determined that the painter was painting a bigger picture and that bigger picture was the one he was actually thinking in his mind he actually wanted to paint it giving life to the vision he had in his mind

there are subtitles, but yes, his approach is so clear and direct that you don't need them. i watched it first time w/out subs, and then with, and all i missed was the names of the colours.

Thank you! I always have troubles drawing the branches and I had a mini heart attack when you just painted over the simple sketch you simply made. It made me reflect that you just needed to know the general shape of the object then just have fun. Thanks!

I only used watercolors when I did my final proyect, like a year ago for the art elective (I'm really sorry, my english is poor ;;;) but after that I was too afraid to paint again with this technique; I found this video in a post on Facebook and, you know what?? I FELT REALLY INSPIRED, as if there was a river full or energy in the middle of a desert, like the feeling of seeing something bright and so, so beautiful; it's like I rediscovered the beauty of painting, drawning, etc (1 year without doing a proper skecht or something else) so in conclusion I'm really really grateful to been able and find this KZbin channel and find your art, thank you very much.

Sarah Moon your English is fine you do not have to apologize for it. You did hard work learning a new language and not many people appreciate that. Please do not apologize.
He's voice is so relaxing and soft, I love his Art and I love Japanse I'm learning how to speak it! Thank you so much, now I can finally paint a realistic tree 😆

Watercolor by Shibasaki sir if you give me a favor can you make a video on painting for beginners its hard to find a good teacher like you 😄
I never thought I could actually learn how to paint a tree. I love watercolor but I'm used to skin and clothes, and I absolutely did not knew how to even draw a tree. I can't believe it turned so good! Thank you so much! Your videos make me want to get back to painting!

This tutorial was super helpful! I just tried this out for the first time. It's not as beautiful as yours, but I'm happy with it. I especially find your explanation of what colors to mix very helpful, thank you! Also, the advice of not stressing over every leave and keeping the big picture in mind is so relevant as a life advice too. Thank you Shibasaki-san!
Oh my god, I’ve been looking everywhere for a tutorial like this that actually EXPLAINED why the tree looks it does. Thanks you so much! You have explained in 5 minutes what others in 15 minutes could not! Thank you! As a beginner artist (or intermediate), this is really helpful!
