"A big heart and a big brush "!!! You certainly have both!

After watching your last video, i brought a no. 11 round brush. You were absolutely right. I just needed a bit of practice and a steady hand and i could get thin and thick lines... I really appreciate you making so helpful vids. It's quite helpful for someone like me who has just started watercolors...

to my beloved new japanese grandfather: thank you for creating this beautiful channel! in fact, thank you for existing! i live in new york and i decided to give watercoloring a try. my favorite mediums have always been oil paints and polymer clay, but i wanted to try going back to something i didn’t have very much experience with and that was watercolors. i feel super blessed to have found your channel at the beginning of my journey. thank you for being my teacher all the way from japan! you are loved and appreciated more than you know ♥️

“Whatever happens, it’s interesting.” Thank you for this greatest advice. I often think when practice watercolour painting, whatever I do is not good enough.
I love how joyously you paint, even just having fun playing with brush strokes. You teach us with your big heart!

I recently felt so anxious all the time so I decided to follow what you said and just play with the brush. "Have a big heart with a thick brush, try to paint freely with the feeling of playing". It's very satisfying. Just like a therapy! I recommend this to anyone who's feeling anxious or stress to do this.

The way you compare a big brush in watercolor to a big knife in Chinese food is absolute genius!(can't agree more!) by the way HAPPY NEW YEAR~お爺さん!!

The best part is at the very end when he’s finally showing off his picture. He just has a smile that is beaming with pride even though it’s nothing specific it’s just a colourful expression of his feelings.

Happy New Year pops, wishing you stay healthy so you could help more amateurs like me. 👌
I'm not a painter by any means but your channel is absolutely worth watching. Wish our art classes in school taught the basics like this, then more of us would have enjoyed water painting...
Thank you for your beautiful tutorials! Although I have painted watercolor for a while there is always something to learn. I really enjoy watching you paint. I have learned not to sweat over the small stuff because I have been very detailed oriented. I would love to share some that I have done for your critic but don't know how to do that through facebook. Recently I did a 2 part 11 x14 watercolor over panel with a very oriental influence. I have never seen bamboo but used photo references. Thank you for you kind instruction and when teaching methods language is not a barrier. Much success!😊

Genius. One big problem for beginners is trying too hard to be perfect, trying too hard to mimic other artists when in reality the only practice we need is to move the brush freely and experiment the different strokes and splats and textures we can create with our imagination
Sir, you have opened the eyes to the realities of art and endless possibilities through your wonderful bold demonstration. I shall follow your instructions diligently and am sure of great success.
Kudos to you....what a clear explanation.Being a beginner I struggled painting with water color.Decided dthat it is not opt for me.But your video motivates me.I am going to try .

Grandpa, I watched your video for the past few days, because it appeared on my KZbin homepage. In my opinion this is very helpful because I started learning again to paint with watercolors. I'm very grateful that you added Indonesian subtitles in this video. Thank you and always healthy grandpa :)

Actually bought this brush after watching your videos, ordered the Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolor set online and I'm so ready to tackle watercolors 😊❤
This really is an amazing way to paint, yet more a way of thinking. I also always try to perfectly bring a picture from my mind down to the paper. I think your way of thinking would be hard for me to do as well, but I also want to try to open my BIG heart ;D Thank you very much, a very inspiring video

That's the coolest analogy I've heard about a kitchen knife, loved your video. Thanks.
Fantastic. Great demo. I will definitely try to have a big heart with my thick brush. Great way to show how many types of uses it can have.

Tanti cari saluti dall'Italia!
