I actually quite liked that Nick and Sand tried to test their chemistry and laughed it off when they realized there’s no spark. Even for us there won’t be what ifs anymore. I also liked that it was consensual and not forced. The camp scene when Ray came in the picture was just pure comedy to me. I’m glad this episode is more refreshing than the other ones at least for now

I don't blame him for getting angry although the whole situation is toxic. He has been in love with Mew and thought Mew wanted to give them a real chance, but Mew never loved him and only did it because he thought it was the right thing to do! Because Ray has always been there for him. Just like I think Ray liked Mew, but it became an obsession of love for the same reason; Mew helped him when he was at his low point. I think Ray's problem is that he has felt rejected since he was a child. His mother's suicide had an extremely large impact on his self-image. Her actions made him feel rejected by her. Since then, he has wanted to prove that he is worthy of being loved and wanted. And he sees Mew as someone who is very sincere, kind and unspoilt. Receiving his love would therefore be the highest validation he could receive for his self-esteem. Sand, on the other hand, gives him everything without question, so Ray can't see the true value behind it. I suspect that's why he's unable to tell the difference between his love for Mew and Sand. Not yet. 😢

Ray's mother has come up a couple of times when he talked with Mew, so there's definitely a feeling of him conflicting the two. I think he's been wanting Mew to give him the love and acceptance that his mother didn't give him. And as you say, he's been blind to how Sand was already giving him what he needed.

Honestly my favorite series in a long time! I just love all the actors chemistry with each other. They all complement each other well the casting in this series was gold. Im going to be so sad when it ends. It can literally go on forever with just nonsense and I’d still watch. I don’t want it to end. ❤
