@@dinozero2 People were upset when MGS2 came out and Snake wasn't the playable character basically. You used to see a lot of him being called a bitch by everybody because his appearance and dubbed voice were sort of effeminate compared to Snake as well. I personally thought he fulfilled the main character role pretty much identically to Snake to be honest.

What could've saved this scene is if Raiden just barely reached Snake, he tosses him back a couple feet (he only has one arm and weakened, so a few feet is still logical), and THEN attempts to stop the submarine with his body.
