for some reason everyone’s really quick to just say “it’s about struggling with a personality disorder” but fail to notice my favorite part: “surely before we know it we will be accepted, and the thousands of candles will be blown out” candles, as in a candlelit memorial service, where a community joins together and lights candles for someone or a group of people who have died- they also do this in churches during funerals- there is a large candle that is lit and many smaller unlit candles, and each guest lights a candle to show respects the song brings up a good point about how people with “scary” disorders like schizophrenia or DID (for example) are more likely to be victims of violence rather than someone who commits violent acts, because when they start to display symptoms, people (and even law enforcement) get nervous of violence and decide to play judge, jury, and executioner all because someone committed the crime of not realizing that they only imagined someone asking them a question idk, to me that’s the most real part of the song is the realization that you will likely never be accepted, that many before you have died, and wishing that the world could be different not just for you and for the connections you wish you could make, but for others like you who didn’t even get the chance to try

I think this song is just about psychopathy ableism and how hard it is struggling with the personality disorder. Horror movies like to call murderers psychopaths and the word has been thrown around and used so badly to the point that you automatically refer to a crazy person as a psychopath and it’s used as an insult when it shouldn’t be, it’s a serious mental disorder. This person seems to be struggling with it and wants to feel emotions regularly, he wants to be accepted and understand. That’s what I think this song is about Note/ don’t self diagnose psychopathy, especially if you’re like 14, don’t go throwing around the word psychopath either because it’s a genuine mental disorder that people suffer from, I feel bad for people with this disorder considering how media portrays it.

I think this song is about the insanity of the world taking over a once normal person, he speaks of how his parents once told him 'it's been decided since ancient times that psychos can just die' to try and convince himself that he is a sane and normal person. He continued through his world but yet he notices how every one is judging him 'that guy points to me', when that happens he felt the urge to eliminate him, he just doesn't get why suddenly this 'him' he sees now is not the real 'him' at all. He fell in love with a young girl who knew he was 'of a savage tribe' when it says 'in the new world' is a world where 'we will all be accepted' with no judgement of being sane or insane, he tells the girl 'let's meet in the new world' but then he realized that the new world is 'lonely' and 'painful' , the girl he loved is gone, the insanity world 'bugged his brain' as he finally aimed the knife for himself to leave the new world

Being someone with psychosis, that yes i have been diagnosed with, this song is maybe a little bit of what psychosis actually is. Now i am not on anti-psychotics because i have very few episodes but i do really agree with those saying the main has dissociation. Psychosis and dissociation kinda go together, it's kinda a delusional state of mind (you're confused, you wander, your mind is foggy) if that makes any sense. Also most of the time when you do have an episode it's your body going into a protection mode, so possibly the person they lost sent them into an episode?

to me, this song seems to be about someone with a psychotic disorder (that much is obvious). ever since they were young, they knew that they'd be persecuted for their psychosis, ("psychos can just go die") . they wanted to be seen as "normal", thus the confusion and "tearing" of their identity between who they are and who they pretend to be. they want to be accepted (in the new world/future), but cant accept themselves, and further rip themself apart. theres a lot of imagery in the pv and language implying that they have to "hold back" their true self, though they desperately want it to be set free. theyre also torn between their understanding of reality and the true reality, which is why there are so many exclamation points and question marks. sorry if this is confusing. tl;dr: they are psychotic, but pretend to be neurotypical out of fear. they tear themself apart trying to both be accepted and accept themself.

A psycho is a person that is missing it's ability to discern between the things you can and can't do in society. Also, they also can't "feel for someone else", that meaning they can experiment on anyone's body with whatever just to investigate how pain works in the human body, and without feeling remorse, not because they are "cold-blooded" or they hate the person. Is just because for the psycho thinks that what he is doing it's not wrong. The Frontal Lobe is where the "discerning between wright and wrong" capacity is, so a psycho is usually someone who was born with this mental disease or someone who received damage there. Anyways, being a psycho doesn't mean they will be stupid or retarded just because it's a mental disorder. Psychos are also known to make complex plans to get what they want. Also: you don't have to kill to be a psycho There is lot of psychos that triumphed in their careers because of their plans and ability to do whatever needed to be done in order to get what they wanted without caring about the rest. There is also the sociopath, who is almost the same, but acts instinctively instead of making plans. Anyways, they won't care about what society thinks about them or the damage they caused with their actions, so choosing without thinking too much isn't a problem to them as long as they aren't affected by them. Sorry if it's long, but I think most of you are confused, because society always think's of psychos like murderers, when taking a live is not a condition for this mental disorder.

I'm not sure if anyone said this too but this is what I think of it, which is my theory or opinion: A boy has lost someone very dear to him, his girlfriend. (I'm guessing) He can't let let go of the fact she is dead, and pretends she is still alive. Other people start observe and therefor he is dubbed a "Psycho." Other people see and tell him "Psychos can just go die!" and other bullying-like-actions continue, it gets to him, so he starts bullying others himself (My spat out words, all of them, seem cheap-looking) and even though he realizes it's wrong he continues to harm others anyway. The strike of realization jolts through him and he realizes she is gone, and what her absence has done to him and realizes he needs to see her again, he is corrupted by his own and other people's words. He contemplates suicide and wonders if other people will even care if he's gone. He also wonders if she will even like him anymore out of what he is now. "Lets meet in the new world." He either kills himself to see her again, or out of plain depression. And that is my theory of "Psycho," The End ._.

Finally at the end he ends up taking his life in hopes he will be reunited with his love and be in a better world.

I experience it along with other types of ocd myself and a lot of the lyrics match up with the thoughts I tend to have "why am I thinking this?", "is this actually me?", "am I going crazy?" having this type of ocd or any type is really confusing b/c I tend to think im going insane or that im going to do something bad so I try to hide away and distance myself from others b/c I dont know if I will ever act on my thoughts its something where ur almost painfully aware of whats going on like I know deep down im not actually going insane but theres always the what if... anyways like I was saying the way the thoughts kinda just pop up when the guy was pointing kinda shows how random the thoughts r then how they started obsessing over it is also a pretty big part of it ok anyways I rambled so im gonna stop

also people with untreated or undiagnosed mental illnesses tend to be labeled as crazy or psycho so that could be a part of it

If I'm remembering correctly, I once read of a schizophrenic suicide being done by the person stabbing themselves through the forehead with a knife like at the end of this video. I feel like that might mean something.

My theory: The guy lost [or maybe killed o.o (?) ] an important person in his life (could be his gf).. he kills people so he can make a perfect copy of the girl. As you see in the video, he's cutting body parts from other humans. That explains the title of the video "Psycho"..
@HandyFreeaak9 жыл бұрын
+ In the end he kills himself because of the bully and also because he realised that the girl he used to know, is gone forever.

I also think that maybe those parts symbolized that he was getting ready for the new world he was going to. And that whenever he cut a part, it actually could've meant he was cutting himself and that then he lost so much blood he died. But I like your theory better

A psycho is someone who doesn't fit into the society's norms. Someone who sees things the majority of humanity can't see, feels things others can't, and lacks things others have. If everyone is a sociopath, then the ones who aren't are sick. If everyone was bipolar, the ones who aren't would be shut up in a ward. It's all a matter of perspective.

Eddie Gluskin That's a poor argument. ADHD can't be real, because not everyone can experience it. Comatose can't be real, because not everyone can experience it. Faith / religion can't be real, because not everyone can experience it.
@eddiegluskin57899 жыл бұрын
I wish ADHD wasn't real. Also, Religion might as well be not real. "Gods" aren't real. They are things humans create out of fear and frustration of not knowing where they come from. If these "Gods" don't meet the exact expectations, they are seen as evil. Also, I don't Comatose is, sorry. I'd appreciate it if you could give me the definition, but you will probably say something like "Look it up in a dictionary."
@CG-ym9cu9 жыл бұрын
My point is that your argument of "if not everyone can experience it, it isn't real" is really shitty. And, since you requested me to tell you what comatose is because you simply can't be bothered to google it: the state of being in a coma. Comatose.

everyone have own way to perceive things and their own way of uniqueness, everything in this video i suppose (subjectively) is an art, but for some it isn't its only shows how different we are. These emotions and images and way of thinking are always part of us. Our own self. Accepting ourself means we need to face the reality that we all have darkness within ourselves that are waiting to be accepted. words were just words if you pardon my way off speaking. It can perceive as just words or words that trigger anyone's preconscious mind. Mental Healthy individuals or not. Psychos or not. its part of ourselves. that makes us who we are. Thus, lets just peacefully listen to it and respect each other's own opinions of it.

Tbh I wouldnt say psychosis has anything to do with this, i thought the term ‘psycho’ was used as a broad term for mental illness in this song (not derogatory) and how people with stigmatized mental illnesses are seen as unneeded and dangerous, the character doesn’t know why because they havent done anything to allude to that narrative. In the beginning i believe he is mocking the views of how other people percieve him (as a foreshadow) then later in the song he reveals his significant other has died and he is being framed as the cause of it simply because of his mental illness, he then wonders how many people like him will be vulnerable to discrimination in an ableist society. Not being to live with the death of his s/o and the torment, he gives in to what society ultimately wants to happen to people like him, he takes his life hoping he can meet his s/o in a better world

@IvyWisteria11 жыл бұрын
This is the guy that wrote Leave it to Yotsuya-San which is most likely about an anxiety disorder. By this, we can deduce that Eightball's gimmick is writing songs about mental illness. Which is proven in the artwork as if you look closely, the words Split Personality and Mental Disorder can be read during the scene transitions. So what you've just said is highly inaccurate. Unless of course you believe that mental illness makes you want to kill people for no reason, it's most likely a song about someone trying to cope with their mental illness.
