Today I made this recipe.. Came out good but why the skin still sticky before we eat?

Did you add enough rice flour ? If you add too much glutinous flour, it will be pretty soft and sticky. Add some rice flour to make it a bit firm.

They look so pretty :) If I want to use coconut cream for the pastry, do I just reduce the milk by the same amount of coconut cream added?

Can l ask u if ur mooncake kept in the fridge will the ping pei skin texture become ...is hard n need to resteam again to make it spongey like first made..

Normally the mooncake can be chilled in the frdige for at most 3 days. The skind will turn hard after 3 days, try to eat them up in 3 days. And please do not dust too much cooked glutinous rice flour on the mooncake while moulding, it will make the skin hard.

I do Really love moon cakes very much,, but I don't know how to make,, n also I miss eating moon cakes,, I experience eating it in s'pore

Store in an airtight container in the firdge for up to 3 days, the skin will get hard after 3 days.

@@LisasKitchen I tried another recipe and use those plastic container for storage. It went hard after taking out from fridge overnight. May i ask how to make it soft?
