Uncle D, I am so happy that you finally got to watch this interview. Since you love Zhou Shen so much I think you should know about his humble upbringing and the adversity he encountered in his early years. One can't help but to appreciate and admire the strength, patience and persistence of this humble guy, how he overcome all adversities in life and got to where he is today. It's not just luck, but lots of hard work, with his positive attitude and warm , genuine and amazing personality . The path was rugged but he never complained. He is always positive and is the sunshine and role model to many. He is an inspiration to all Shengmis. We just love him to bits.❤❤

Yes, I wonder what happened with his sister. Parents probably did the best they could but Zhou Shen and his sister suffered deprivation. He had a rough start but has a beautiful heart.

@@ElizabathRafifar I believe his sister is married with children. Zhou Shen is an uncle. His relatives are all his fans. His mum plays his music at home day and night.(even at 2am, LOL)

Thank you so much for sharing ths infornative and touching interview. He seems so slight an soft, unimposing and emotional, but he has a will of steel, and despite all his doubts he continues to go forward with his own vision. It is one thing to go against haters, but very hard to go against your supporters to fulfill your hoaks. Like his parents not wanting him to switch to English, his grandfatherly teacher wanting jim to sing opera and disrespecting pop music. Zhou Shen is truly one of a kind, thoughtful and mature, amazing personality. And because you love him, you bring him to us to share. Thanks so much.

Zhou Shen is unique, he has nothing except his voice! He has no money, no look, no appearance, no background, no support. However, his voice touches the world!

Thank you Mr. D for your reaction to zhou Shen. I greatly admire how Zhou Shen and his parents persisted with education despite facing financial difficulties. Zhou Shen's positive mindset is truly inspiring; he noted that while he can accept losses, giving up is simply not an option for him.

What strike me most about Zhoushen is he has such a humble considerate heart and most importantly a grateful blessing spirit! He speaks with deep wisdom about life challenges. What a beautiful soul! He is blessed with an angelic ethereal heavenly voice and with his touching musical conversational singing artistry he has blessed encouraged comforted numerous broken souls…. He is indeed a HEALING singer of this age! One in a thousand years! Thank you Zhoushen.

He is just such a lovely human being..that is why he can be such a strong emotive singer. The technique you can learn..the true emoting is what makes the great singers..to touch the heart of a listener you have to have "heart"..Zhou Shen has that ..in spades!

In rural regions in China, parents have to leave their children behind, so-called ‘left-behind children’, to work in urban areas, mostly another state, and only able to have home visit once every year (usually about a week). These children tend to be very independent and much more mature, and are capable in kinds of chores. In many cases, these children are taken care by extended families, usually grandparents or family friends who live in the same village. Some, who have no one to depend on, have no choice but to leave the children to fend for themselves.
