Zhou Shen is amazing. A massive catalogue of performance. He does all genres including some rock performances. He is mainly a pop singer that incorporates elements of bel canto/ opera. Check out Ring the Doorbell, You’re too Cruel, Unravel, Cold to the end, Brave Heart, Doomsday Spaceship,

Thanks for great reaction! Charlie is a very talented and versatile singer who can sing different genres with different languages! Hope you can react his another songs. Actually he can speak over 6 languages (Chinese, English, Japanese, Russian, Ukarian, Italian etc). Zhou Shen started early with singing, joined the school choir and won the first place repeatedly in choir competitions. But when he hit puberty his voice didn't significantly change. Since he still sounded like a girl in middle school he was ridiculed by his classmates and they were calling him names. Because of the discrimination he experienced, he became more and more silent. He didn't sing on stage for three years in junior high school. Fortunately he regained confidence and was able to make his uniqueness his strength. He studied Bel Canto at the Ukrainian Conservatory of Music and today he is one of the most popular singers in China. Zhou Shen plays the piano, guitar and clarinet. He can speak several foreign languages like English, Ukrainian, Russian, Italian, Polish and he sings in even more languages. I love his angelic voice. For more wonderful performances I recommend his duets with Sa Dingding (a Chinese singer and songwriter) "Upwards to the moon" and "Flower walking freely", but you can't go wrong with any of his performances. He sings even higher in those duets. For a great spooky performance I suggest "The Song of Heaven Island". "Zhou" is pronounced like "Joe" with the J sounding a bit sharper like the "Ch" in Charlie. BTW, Charlie is Zhou Shen's Western name.

The softness and airiness of all shades of Zhou Shen's childish female and male voice make the singing very engaging and addictive. Probably Zhou Shen's most emotional song. As he himself said, he always cries when singing this song, because here he sings not only about the cat that was rejected by the tribe, but also about himself, because he was bullied and rejected because of his exceptional voice. With hope, he asks them to approach him and accept him as he is, and he will sincerely repay them with his gift.

Pausing is not a really a big deal as it is a reaction video after all 😊He's a remarkable singer and I will put him as one of the many greats I've seen in my nearly 60 years. I don't speak a word of Chinese but I have been checking out his songs and performances and the more recent live stream he did for his birthday brought me to tears when he sung The Mask. He is the only artist that moved me completely. His songs are now in my playlist and sometimes blaring in my car when driving and people would look at me funny 😆. Please check more of his work.

I'm always so excited to see someone discover Zhou Shen for the first time. He is a surprise... a gorgeous surprise. He started singing publicly on stage only 10 years ago... and because of his unconventionally high voice, he was very shy and self-deprecating. Incredibly he has managed to remain humble, down to earth, and sincere though he's one of China's most popular singes currently. He is a musical genius, always on tune, always sungs live, sounds just as good singing classical, Beijing Opera, pop songs, ditties, musicaks, rock. He just seems to love and delve into every genre of music. Besides that he does all kinds of game shows, sort of reality shows, where he is sweet, witty, playful. He wears his heart on his sleeve, and I think being so in touch with his own emotions means he can bring us along on an emotional ride using his voice and gestures. I hope, even if he's perhaps not your type of music, you will listen to and react to him again. You'll never be bored. I've never seen such a orolific and hardworking singer. Here to support Zhou Shen. Thank you for your review, and I actually don’t mind all the pauses. It’s a review. If someone doesn’t like that then they can just watch the original. Zhou (pronounced like Joe) Shen is truly out of this world amazing and if you review any more of his music you will quickly realize that discovering him is a beautiful gift that keeps giving to the ears, heart, and soul. (I also don’t speak/understand Chinese 😂.)

As dommeone who doesnt really listen to metal, I hope you'd react to one of his sog in his latest albulm. Again i dont know metal but it has some metal elements tot he sog maybe more of a metal inspired pop, I dont know. Anyway the song is 请我不改 (Brave Heart), if you cant find it in the English title just search it by copy pasting the mandarin characters. I've always wondered how metal this song is and wheter soemone who listens to metal a lot would enjoy it too. Also its okay yo use technical jargon it actually makes the reviewing better, just explain it in a way that lay person can understand it. Your pauses are really fine, we expect that from a reaction video because its better to comment on it as you listen than all of it at the end, because we might not know what youre refering too.

I totally agree with your assessment of Hua critique and reaction method. It is food to stop and talk about what we heard. And I too love to hear more technical discussion especially if it is briefly explained. I have learned so much about music and singing since Instarted listening to reaction videos. Especially by professionals in the field. It helps is listen better and notice and appreciate new things. There are quite enough reactions online that are just "oh wow, that was great, Ibhope you liked it"... the comments on this video were very interesting.
