Yeah, it feels like Merope is just ''there'' and Igor doesn't even know who or what she is. You can try it yourself and see the outcome. 然后, 这个的名字……就叫它梅洛普吧。 DeepL =Then, the name of this ...... will call it Merope. Google Translate = Then, the name of this...let's call it Merope. Merope is also translated as being a ''Receptionist'' there for Wonder. Merope is demiurge 3.0 because P5 cant think of anything else.

He doesn't have a canon name yet. Canon names of MCs in Persona games (P3 onward) usually only comes with the manga/anime adaptation of thier respective games.

@@reddishcarp1237 anime. Mangas have their own names. And for 3-5, they were essentially used as placeholder names until the canon names were finalized (usually in the animes). Yu got his long before Ren and Makoto, and long before him were Tatsuya and Maya from the Persona 2 duology. The exception is Kotone, who’s name comes from the P3 stage play, the only time she’s ever had an official name. Another exception is the P1 protag, who has a few names, but fans use his manga name, Naoya. His official name is “Boy with Earring”. And in a similar vein, the SMTV protag, as of this writing, has never been given any official name.

Whats translated as "Destruction" here... shouldnt it be "Ruin"? If so, then its likely this is Fake Igor/Yaldabaoth, and this game really might be set in an alternate universe based on the P5 bad ending.

What Marope says at 23:04? its 您最终将走向「毁灭」 You can try it yourself to put this through translators. DeepL = You will eventually come to "destruction" Google Translate = You will eventually "destroy"

@@BuffMaister On Google Translate the word can be translated as either "destroy" or "ruin" because they are basically synonyms, but "destroy" is what will appear first because it is the more frequent translation. I think how its being used here, the word should be translated as "ruin" just like in P5. Based on that and Igor's mannerisms here (crossing legs, resting head on one arm), i think its Yaldabaoth. But i could be wrong. Thanks for translating these vids! I know it must be a lot of work. :D

The only alternative translation that shows as ''ruin'' is on DeepL for me, thats after showing 2 other ''destruction''. Alternatives: You will end up in "destruction" You will eventually go to "destruction" You will eventually come to "ruin" But you're right, English Persona 5 story mentioned ''Ruin'' when it comes to this talk. You could try to confirm this by finding the P5/R japanese dialogue where Igor mentioned the line of ''Ruin'' and see if it also translates as destruction through Google/DeepL. Whenever someone undergoes a translation project like this, it's not gonna be anywhere near perfect, especially when P5 dialogue gets sooooo stretched out. Untill Atlus decides to put this out in the West, having people translating the story is the only thing you can have for now.
