Maybe this is ordinary for Japanese people to see. but as a non-Japanese person I'm truly intrigued about how conscious Japanese people are about addressing and so I really like seeing actual VAs and stuff do it live. It's like seeing a turning point in the history of their relationship. You'd think this kinda thing would happen off-camera (off-radio), but like we're actually seeing it! I remember my 1st was in Kaguya-sama re Sayumi suzushiro (Kei Shirogane), aoi koga (kaguya) & konomi kohara (chika Fujiwara). Like Sayumi started to call them aoi-san & koko-chan! On the other hand when I ask online about addressing people find me weird for asking why this anime character calls another as X-chan not X-san or whatever. -______-

Not in Japanese. In hiragana, Anzai is あんざい (a-n-za-i), while Chika is ちか (chi-ka). So for them, Chika is half as short as Anzai.

@@licht4401 1st, the comment clearly says 5 letters, not how they say it. 2nd, the way they write it is the same way they pronounce it. For us english speakers, we're used to syllables that ends with consonants and vowels that has 2 vowel sounds (like how "a" is read as "ei" or and "i" is read as "ai"), that's why "anzai" for us is just "an-zai". But for them, each character is a syllable. Even the ん (-n) counts as a separate syllable, that's why it's "a-n-za-i" for them.
