The interest thing doesnt make sense to me. Interest is a feeling that accompanies or causes special attention to something. How can someone plan to have a feeling?

Definitely not. We can all donthe same things the same way. People with ADHD just have a way harder time doing it. An example for me is I leave stuff on the ground and say “ill pick that up later”. Then it sits there for a week. Its not being lazy, its me seeing something on the ground and my brain just not telling me to pick it up.

@@texys5848 Dude I feel you. I was in ADHD paralysis from August-this January at college, and exposure to this quote gave me the kick of dopamine I need, at least for right now while it’s working, to break through all of my tasks. And oh my god, I’ve caught up on everything from months ago and and have done so much already for the first half of 2024. “The way I do anything is how I do everything.” Can’t give myself the same pat on the back I want to for my grades, national ranking in a video game (WoT Blitz someone come play w me), typing speed of 115wpm, anything - can’t really say that those excelling areas reflect my capabilities overall if I’m not giving it my all in all areas. Or at least many. Life has been a video game since. Everything is a challenge to prove that we are the capable and successful people we want to be by knowing how we do anything is what encompasses that. Obviously, we cannot do anything if doing the task doesn’t generate enough dopamine for us to have the energy and ability to do it, but my point is that this kind of thinking has been incredibly motivating. Now, everything you do is something to prove to yourself you are someone who is capable, good at things, etc. Nobody come at me if this doesn’t work for you it’s not my problem. Hope you get my vibe. I wish you a wonderful life. Real Madrid can kiss my ass
