Great to see these marvels coming into being, especially the versions for mini excavators, which are my favourite.

think the same as he takes care of the equipment and attachments sure, you can break basically anything if you try... but if you take care... I have seen heavy excavators that were like 10 years old and almost had no play in their bushings... and others that were basically new (2 years) and they were completely worn out... because of being rental machines not taken care of... ...and I would say that he takes care... (and not tries to break concrete slabs with hammering down the bucket into the slab as many other operators do)

Been using tiltrotators on all my machines since i started as an operator. If you don't do anything stupid then they hold up real well. Engcon, Indexator, Steelwrist. They're all pretty solid. For the most part i've had hydraulic hose ruptures and that's a quick fix anyway. Sure you're adding some extra points of failure. But for the added functionality i'd say the tradeoff is completely worth it. Now. Living in sweden i do have quick access to parts so your mileage may vary. But generally you can get parts pretty quick. And if a motor craps out or there is a significant problem with the tiltrotator its just a simple matter of disconnecting a couple of hoses. + the electrical connector, Taking the tilt off (2-3 minute job max) and then you just have to work the old fashioned way for a day or three. And integrated grabs are possibly my favorite things ever. With one of them on a tiltrotator you're a lean mean all-round machine. Just my two cents on the matter.

No cages w/interlocks around the robots and no welding curtains. In the US you must have cages with curtain interlocks, lockout/tagout around automated machinery, to prevent people from accidentally getting squished.
