I feel like the main problem with this fandom is that they get divided over very small things, and some even go to extents to bash the idols. (I'm a new Engene) I remember one time in Jake's live at the starting he had starbucks but later he poured it into a diff cup, and many were forcing him to stop drinking that. It is a sensitive thing but he did it unintentionally and even apologised, which wasn't it enough for some Engenes (I think they expected him to puke out wtv he drank or smth). They sent him soo much hate and said stuff like: "u lost respect as a human". It really made me uncomfortable seeing all those and I had to make a video on it.

i've been wanting to talk abt it so much, so i'm literally yapping: I've been a fan, on and off, since I-LAND. By on and off, I mean I would listen to the music, but because of my personal life, I wouldn't interact as much. However, I remember in 2022, during the MANIFESTO: DAY 1 era, I interacted with Enhypen content much more because I had more free time. Oh my god, the hate train Enhypen were getting was actually scary, and the way Engene handled it was really, really bad. Honestly, Enhypen has such good music and are very entertaining and fun to watch. I felt bad for the way people treated them, and not just one member, but ALL of them. For example, Jay getting hate for his jawline, which made me think, "What???" Sunghoon getting hate for being naturally shy and for just being an MC was literally mind-blowing. Moas were spamming him with hate comments because he "replaced" Soobin, and he forgot Eunchae's name during HYBE's picnic. Ni-ki being s******* as a minor and people saying they were waiting for him to be 18, Sunoo being hated for being more on the pretty side rather than the "manly" side (just weird), and the whole body-shaming thing, which made me think, "Isn't he an adult, and aren't they friends?" He can definitely defend himself and probably set boundaries, which Sunghoon mentioned when he said he stopped teasing the members as much during a live, so idk why people made such an enormous deal out of it (like i get it, but at the same time i don't). Then there's Heeseung's appearance, which was a really awful situation with people just being bullies. Jake had a situation with the stylist, and I honestly think Jake probably wanted to speak about it-he's a very well-spoken person from what I've seen in interviews and his lives-but obviously, Belift had to be an awful company, Jungwon was hated for being a young leader... I genuinely think that they have so much potential, and their music is very underrated. (imo they have the best boy group music of the 4th generation; it reminds me so much of the absolute delight that is EXO's music). Since they started, they have become better vocalists, performers, and dancers, and are easily the best and most well-rounded group in HYBE as far as I'm concerned (txt and bts being close seconds). They need more recognition, but with the way online Engenes act, it's scary (especiallt twitter). All the Engenes I've met in real life were absolute sweethearts, so I don't know where the crazy ones are, and i don't want to know, I just hope they pack their bags and leave tf out of the fandom because honestly, it's tiring.

I'm not a fan of the message in this video, since right at the beginning the video refers to this toxicity as "most" Engenes. I think it's pretty strange to generalize a group of people simply have a shared interest in music and performance by ascribing the history and baggage of perceived misdoings by any subsegment of "fans" at any point in their history around the world.. I've personally seen both TXT and Enhypen perform live in NYC, and all of my interactions with fellow concertgoers at both concerts were honestly great! In both cases, fans were respectful, so supportive of the boys, and we helped each other out trying to find public transport back haha. I think the danger of videos like this is that it stigmatizes an entire kpop fandom (I mean in the title you are calling Engenes out by name), and liking kpop already comes with a lot of stigma. There's a ton of baggage in this video, even just looking at the comments, it is deterring new fans from wanting to associate with the fandom. Idk. I've followed Kpop for a long time since DBSK era, and every fandom has had its ups and downs, especially as the idols and the fans themselves age. To me, being an Engene is as simple as liking Enhypen - I like to see the boys perform in concert, I think Chaconne and Fatal Trouble are bops, and I look forward to new Enhypen behind the scenes videos. It's that simple - no subsegment of this fandom gets to represent me or what Enhypen means to me. In a similar fashion, I can be proud of being an American without constantly being told I need to "check myself" for the wrongdoings of American history, or what some groups in America are doing right now. It's just a strange topic for a Moa to be making a 24 minute video telling a different fandom why they are wrong - it to me is in fact a negative experience I now have as an Engene with a Moa, and yet I'm not here generalizing Moas :)

i totally agree with everything you said but im kinda confused as to why you feel the need to know the heights of the members? also, as to why ni-ki grew taller pretty quickly , genetics play a major role with ni-ki, and pills that made him get taller (Ni-ki's whole family are really tall, ex. konon, she's around 5'10, and his younger sister seems to be growing aswell) even during I-land, ni-ki was already taller than 3/7 of the members, he was the same height as jay during i-land, and after debut he def just got a lot taller because pills + genetics , also his features haven't really changed im sure it's just maturing

I think that most groups that was made by a Survival shows, has a toxic fandoms or a significant amount of toxic fans. Survival show is a tournament, both for idols and viewers. The whole idea of those shows is to make everyone on their way to fall off because you have your own bias who deserves debut more that others. Like it's toxic followers from the very beginning. But i like Enhypen, not sure about their fans unfortunately. Also about early Enhypen, i remember how i was feeling cringe because they were very young but the mv was portraiting them as an adults. I personally hate when young people trying to look like adults when they are not. They basically killing their childhood, the most beautiful time of your life
@bethlarue90547 ай бұрын
I think you are right about some things. I think Engenes could be divided because the group came out of a competition show, which naturally pits fans against each other. I disagree with your interpretation of ILand though. I think K was most hated, not Niki. I think members voted Sunoo to ground because at the time, he was physically weak, not because they thought he wasn’t talented. Sunoo said himself that he lacked stamina and couldn’t keep up. I think a lot of the post debut stuff you mention either relates engenes inability to move on from ILand and support group as a whole but, I think you are also grouping a few loud Engenes, as all Engenes. I think most Engenes aren’t saying/doing things you claim but, you are listening to the few that are and trying to create a story and drama, where there isn’t.

Also don't defect from the fandom if you love the group, or the anti's and weirdo's win. Being controversial for the sake of it is the most attention they probably ever have gotten or ever will receive in their lives. Besides when you hear your groups say how much they love their fandom's and how much their fandom's give them life, you can't abandon them. They literally will tell you that dealing with good people from their fandom helps them through their hardest days and motivates them when they don't feel their best. Music and dance is supposed to connect people.

I find it super strange how much Niki's personality changed on a year, from his pre debut videos when he was 12 probably to drunken dazed era, he was a sassy queen, then suddenly his whole personality changed and now he's one of those straight tiktok boys. Drunken dazed was the last time i saw that version of him, with that picture of him in studio choom, he was like Sunoo back then, but from 15 to 16 he became a whole different guy, from Sunoo to Heeseung in one year. But if that’s not true I think that belift clearly needed to do a apology bc that’s not okay. And for Jake I hate it when idols get hated for their stage outfits eventhough it was the stylist fault I’m an Muslim myself but I think belift should apologize for the mistake the stylist made bc that’s not okay and for Niki the jacket Islam doesn’t really have a Islamic symbol like of course if you type it in emojis it will come but we don’t really use it and it’s also on the turkey, Tunesian and Pakistani flag and I am Turkish and I saw people dance with the flag so I don’t thing that was innapropiate.

I honestly don’t see the point of this video. You’re talking as if all Engenes are toxic, when in reality most of them are totally normal, and as if other fandoms don’t have a toxic part. Like, if I had to leave every fandom I’m part of just because I don’t want to be compared to the toxic people in it, then I would not be a Kpop stan anymore because I would have to leave literally every fandom. And, about toxic people in fandoms, Moas are not excluded, I’m saying this because the way you turned the «Moa vs Engene» thing was making them look like saints, when, not later than the day before yesterday, I saw two toxic Moas (they were really embarrassing themselves until the end, at a point I was finding it funny) denigrating Jungwon’s talent to make Yeonjun «shine» (and there’s also the moment when Jay got hate for hiding TXT by standing up in front of the camera 💀). But, even with this bad encounter, am I going to hate all the fandom and say that they’re all toxic ? No. Also, I personally never encountered a toxic Engene before (fortunately), and all of the ones I saw were really cool. Lastly, it’s kind of weird to do a video about a fandom you’re not even in, especially if you don't know how the fandom is behaving recently, because, saying that the fandom is really toxic and taking, as examples, things that happened a year, or some years ago, is not credible, because it’s simply not showing how the fandom is now. (Btw, people have different mindsets depending on the country in which they were born and raised, that’s clearly why US and European fans are usually more open-minded than Asian ones for some things) I think that the fandom is really cool right now, the vibe is mostly positive and the way US Engenes treated the boys during Fate+ tour enchanted everyone. There will, unfortunately, always be toxic people, haters and hypocritical people, but it’s how popularity and success work, you can’t only have fans, you have to get the whole package, or nothing, and if I have to compare it to something that everyone is going through at a moment in life, I would say that High school is kind of the same lol. (But not as much obviously) So, our job as fans is to make their lives a little easier and to bring them joy, at our level, like they’re doing for us, not to post demoralizing videos which are not making things move, thanks.

@ongaku-chan51307 ай бұрын
@kaya20_56 I didn't say they were not toxic anymore, I said they were less. I-Engenes are really chill and cool, toxic Engenes are mostly Korean and Chinese (not all, obviously!). The Heeseung situation is sad and disgusting, but there were only some toxic Engenes who said/did disgusting things, not all the fandom, but, like always, toxic fans are louder than normal fans, making it look like everyone did/said horrible things, unfortunately. (I would say that unfortunately, there are still a lot of rasist people in the world and that it's possible that some people who said horrible things were, in reality, not even Engenes, and were just jobless and dumb people who decided to make the situation worse) I'll also say that, Heeseung was not very very good at English, and that he was just humming, without any bad intentions, so I can understand it can be shocking for black fans, but I personally think that it would've been way more shocking if it was an official cover (but obviously, it's still important to e͟d͟u͟c͟a͟t͟e͟ idols when they did something not acceptable as a public figure) Seeing all the scandals created by the (unintentional) use of the n-word, I'm starting to think it would be better if artists stopped using it in almost all of their songs ! And, I'm sorry if you had to witness this situation ! (I'm sorry I wrote a lot)

And most of Engenes and Moas relationships are also very good excepts some weirdos who are in every fandom....So please don't try to make us look bad..We Engenes respect everyone and Every fandom...

You took down my comment because you know that I was telling the truth. You have proved my suspicion of you being a Enhypen and Engene hater. You are pretending to like Enhypen and saying the Engenes are toxic when you know that most of them are toxic solo stans and Enhypen haters.

If you are talking about your reply that Sooha represents Engenes, it’s still there. Maybe KZbin isn’t showing it to you right now, but I haven’t deleted anything.

@@txt.moa_luvsyou know what I'm talking about. You made this video slandering Engenes while pretending to care so much about Enhypen when must of the haters are solo stans who don't even like Engene. So stop discouraging people from joining our fandom. We aren't all immature kids, their are a lot of mature, responsible adults in the fandom who as better things to than to come on social media to argue with relevant people. No fandom is perfect. The problem between Moa and Engene started way before there was even a fandom called Engene. It was during I-land when Moas and fans from other fandom criticized the show saying that it is a flop and that the group would also flop, even spreading rumors about Enhypen. Whenever someone post lies about our boys they jump on it and have a lot to say and yes Engenes defended Enhypen like they should, but I understand that some things were said that was not acceptable. Don't be bias toxic Moas are to be blamed too.
