27:38 Denis said. Well, I don’t intend to stop, I will continue to train. Still, we need to try to reach the peak. About Larratt. I have already mentioned that he is a strong opponent. Perhaps I wasn't prepared for this sort of Larratt because when I was going to come back a year ago, it was slightly different. You instantly visualized his physique because of his consistent series of victories against tough pullers, which had a psychological impact on me. You are aware that he took the lead here. And I'm like, catching up... Of course, that was tough.

I agree completely, the best possible scenario would be for Devon and Dennis both to continue in this sport they love , Dennis patiently but consistently getting stronger and stronger in pursuit of the form that made him so dominant yrs ago , and Devon maintaining and honing the conditioning regimen that has made him the preeminant super heavy weight armwrestler that he is at nearly 50 yrs old !! He is so so important to the sport of Armwrestling you can't say to much or to often what a healthy Devon Larrat does to advance and promote the sport of Armwrestling. One way to think about it is Devon was obsessed with destroying Dennis that he dared to say it in public to obligate himself to show complete commitment. He couldn't forget the 2018 left arm disaster. Devon showed an unmatched amount of effort that, for the first time in his history, he didn't show his training. He studied every match of Dennis, trained so hard. On the other hand, Dennis was relying on his close circle for his training, and focused on certain positions that are Dadikyan specific. He ignored all the warnings that said he would face troubles with Devon's style, and the fact that he is just back after a serious injury and underestimated Devon. So it's a complete dedication from a fully engaged Devon VS a miscalculation from a post-injury Dennis. However, Dennis, after such a devastating disaster, will wake up to reality and make better adjustments in the right direction. In one year, he will be competing for the spot number 1 again. So ironically, this defeat is the best thing Dennis can actually wish!

Devon's comeback story is almost unbelievable to me. He was clearly outclassed by the top guys just a few years ago. I, like a lot of people, thought he would need to retire soon. I mean, he was getting old, and all these younger monsters were coming out of the woodwork. Then he went on this crazy training program. He rebuilt himself from the ground up and now, he's probably 1 or 2 in the entire world. Who can beat him besides Levan? @@awakedreamer532180% isn't 100%. No excuse amd I'm not taking anything away from Devon but that is a huge difference. I think if Denis was 100% back to prime Devon would still win.

Denis is 130 kg of pure muscle lol, Yes he was significally bigger before but is nowhere near small now, just look at how easy he beeat John Brzenk, and doesn't this if anything prove the insane longevity from Devons part?

If you watch older videos of Denis you will see something entirely different. Looking at this video he is just uncomfortable at the table. No change in position no adjustment. Only one failed attack. Devon was at much better shape but Denis is not even mentally where he used to be.
@arhael3594
@arhael3594 Жыл бұрын
Doesn't matter what he was mentally. His plan was to tire Devon out. On practice Devon got him pumped in the very first round. You can't make many adjustments, when your opponent has superior hand control.

Denis said in after match interviews he had a plan but Devon was offensive in a way he never practiced for. He was completely shook and literally couldn't do anything but static defense. Round 2 flash pin is what happened when he tried to change.

It's crazy that Devon got an elbow foul in the third round when it was clearly Denis who lifted his elbow first, giving up and giving the round to Devon. The only reasonable thing is to make it 3-0 at that point.

I re-watched it several times and still don't see it. He must have lifted his elbow up before he slams Denise's hand, but Dennis's elbow was off the pad in a losing position for several seconds. Still confusing.

@@AxxLAfriku even the second pin Denis was pinned well before the elbow came up. Terrible call, forunately this Devon we have right now is 2nd only to Levan. Mad respect to Denis, wish we had this Devon vs 2018 Denis, would've been nutty.

Devon's power is underrated. He has insane shoulder & side pressure. Also, people have notoriously said he's slow. He may not be the absolute fastest, but he's definitely got some explosiveness.

Yeah. He is very fast. There may be not a lot of power behind that speed, but that's why he uses first round to soften his opponents up. In second round his opponents are already sluggish, while he is still fresh and explosive, second round flash pin becomes a pattern.
