@JoshuaDCarbon1 Pitch has nearly everything to do with the action of the Q or any other siren. A surprising number of people are tone-def at certain levels. Many of which can't distinguish a peaked siren for what it really is. The Q is meant to be wound up, then coast back down.

@JoshuaDCarbon1 I realize that the Q is effective for clearing traffic, but it is Effective when changing pitches, tha is what catches people attention. Having the Q wide open like that is less effective, plus it is not designed to be used in that fasion.

It's the two powercall tones, Whoop is the slower one that you hear in the video. Warble is basically Whoop but faster. A new one, 6-Adam is replacing the Warble now I believe, but I don't like it as much...

is that a horn button? Our airhorns are activated using a rope or chain, never seen a button attached to airhorns like that.

I am a firefighter and I love the Q2B, but there is a right way and a wrong way to respond. Sitting on the Q the whole time is useless. Ever wonder why electronic sirens are not just a constant loud whistle? This is just noise and does not help.

All I hear is people bitching about the noise. What do you want him to put it on quiet mode? How about this when your house is on fire make sure the fire department you dont like sirens and horns and I am sure they will have no problem driving code 1 and you know maybe stopping for some lunch on the way. 1. It sounds like shit if it's just kept peaked. 2. It's not as effective, people will hear the winding up and down a whole lot better than just a high pitched noise. The main theory behind sirens is the change in pitch, and the more rapid the change, the better it usually works...

No, kilin, siren is not required. Can be helpful for traffic and intersection warning. Q kept peaked may not sound to others like a siren. Also, if the same pitch at which someone is deaf, they will not hear it. So keep it sweeping up and down to get many frequencies. Far too much noise pollution - warning people in the homes and businesses but not traffic which is not there. Powercall is worthless POS with Q. Never count on the siren. Deaf drivers and others may not hear it.
