Lake Speed Jr and Joe Castello sit down with Dennis Borem, Mark Vieau, Jon Kaase, and Keith Dorton for a conversation about the pros and cons of building an engine from scratch versus developing one based on the rules dictated by a sport’s governing body.
It’s a wide-ranging discussion where we learn which of these legendary engine builders like the possibilities to be wide open where some others like the rules because without them they turn into their own worst enemy.
Along the way we also hear some great stories and learn who’s comfortable bending the rules as well as who’s not very good at “cheating.”
