The amount you've grown since i first started watching some 5 or 6 years ago is nuts. From streaming Gran Turismo 3 with a donation goal of turboing the first MX-5, wishing to go racing one day, to winning the Praga cup and being able to get Team87 on its legs and go to time attack with two of your own cars, one of them being the Praga you raced in. It's been some inspiration i'll tell you that.

There's a lot to love in this video. First, its crazy to think how far Jimmy has come from the shed to not just being an IRL driver, but running a team. I can only imagine how much work went into making this happen, but to be about to take the handful of opportunities that came his way and leverage them to reach this point says a lot about his ability and effort. Then to pay it forward and see Ollie do so well, is really heart-warming. It must be great to put your faith in someone and see them justify it straight away. And you can see the confidence from experience that Jimmy has gained. The production quality on the IRL videos has really grown too. I'm sure it's tough to get good audio and video quality from this kind of event, but these videos are looking really good now. Also, Cadwell Park looks like a blast to drive round.

For his first time in a car, Ollie's performance was SUPER impressive - especially that last lap. Cadwell is an awesome circuit for that sort of stuff. It was uplifting to see Ollie driving the hell out of that MX5. The real headphone warning should have come for the Praga on-board footage. @redpandalove4861 Жыл бұрын
Apparently that lap record was set in a super cart, so don't feel bad Jimmy. The 2 times after that are open wheelers. 4th fastest overall lap time is in an SR8 which is basically same class as the Praga R1 at a 1:22.50, then its a bike, then the 6th fastest is a 1:25:49 in an modified Mitsubishi Evo IX. 1:23:562 on used tires, in damp conditions, and with a cracked manifold is a hell of an effort.

Absolutely love all your videos, especially the IRL stuff. Please keep it coming! Now I'd like to sum up Jimmer's weekend: He said initially "I'm basically just rolling around to make sure it doesn't break" The car then decided it was going to break, but at least it did brake. Then once it was fixed it decided it wasn't going to brake because it did brake. Then it was fixed again and this time Jimmer tried to make it break by not using the brake. Car was fine, then it decided to break again but it did still brake and then it was fixed but didn't break the lap record

Just checked the lap times and apparently the 1:21 came from Superkart. The more similar one would be the other record listed for Cadwell Park, which is Formula 3 from 1982 and that had a 1:23:490, so you're *just* 0:00:072 seconds slower than an actual (even if old) Formula 3 car in your Praga, Jimmer! Those are some real great numbers right there! (Just checked, the Superkarts are no slouches since they all are 490hp/ton, weighing only 205 kilos)

@Jimmy Broadbent Maybe putting something between the camera and where it's set, that will act as a vibration dampener, like the foam you'd find in an expensive shipping crate. I think they are designed to lessen vibration. Either that, or clamps/clip in holders that are already built into the car. This is why Japanese imports come with holes all over the dashboards. They love drilling gadgets into their car's dash and sill 🤣
