Players receive 130 minutes for the entire game, with a 30-second delay from move 1. A tie for first place will be decided in a 2-game rapid mini-match (10 min + 5 sec delay), in case of just two tied players, and if necessary an Armageddon game (5 vs. 4) on 29 August at 13:00 local time. Anand ruining all his chances to take a huge lead and hence forth win the Sinquifield Cup. Even Nakamura said in an interview which he had with Maurice that "The only player in this tournament who had the solid positions to take an advantage or carry out something which eventually wins the games was Anand". He(Anand) was so frustrated(unlikely for Anand who is calm and composed) after Ding drew the game with him that He didn't even wait a second to analyse which he does basically for a while with his opponent. He knows that he has been consecutively missing those special moves as in order to play more positional. He's been missing tactical play which has already cost him +3 points in this tournament. I hope Anand plays like this to get solid position but doesn't ruin his games because of missing those engine or so called winning moves. Ding was fortunate and elated after making a draw. All hail Old Madras Tiger. He can still roar harder than young guns out there. Hope he wins. 🙌🙌

Come on, it wasn't that much of an engine line. It was more of Tal move. I liked this knight sacrifice and rook lift after pawn takes but it seemed that white can go for queen exchange but apparently that wouldn't be possible after Ne4 and after sacrifice accepted and Rxe4 there would be no time for queen exchange... there would be no time for anything for white. Nice game indeed.

It seems only Carlsen is the player who can win without preparations, that matters the most because you can't memorize all the moves

Agadmator will not answer. He is a chess snob that wants you to figure everything about chess on your own because he's already a pro. I have asked several questions and NEVER got a reply. So, good luck getting an answer.

You won't get an answer. Agadmator is such a pro (i.e., chess snob) that your petty questions aren't worth the bother to answer... I've asked several questions in the past. Not 1 reply...ever.

Guys at 2:04 can't ding play c5 attacking the bishop ?
@chickenlevi975
@chickenlevi975 4 жыл бұрын
you probably can, but remember to ask what do you gain by doing that? only thing i see happening (and remember I'm pretty bad at the game) after bishop moves is a big passive mess where mistakes can be deadly. (and just in case after bishop moves you think of pawn taking on e5 that makes the c5 pawn way too advanced and will be very annoying/very difficult to defend.)

It's hard to say that someone would play something like this in modern chess.. Three pawns for a piece plus an attack while Black pieces are not coordinated.. THIS KIND OF COURAGE AND ENTHUSIASM WE NEED not some '' and from move 18 we have a completely New Game...
@oscaro.172
@oscaro.172 4 жыл бұрын
12:23 You still misspoke :) the game is already a draw by insufficient material with two kings and one knight on the board. Recapturing Kxg5 was not played and is illegal, because the game is automatically drawn once there are only two kings and a knight on the board.

Matheus Lacerda knight and king can checkmate if the opposite side has a pawn or some other piece to trap its own king. But unless it’s a pawn you can’t force a checkmate with knight and king

What a shame, neither Alekhine or Tal would of missed Knight E4. they would of played it instinctively. I can't believe that this is an exemplary defensive game, exemplary defensive games wouldn't of allowed The possibility of a Knight E4, or the other attacking possibilities in the same game.. I hate to say it, this is simply spineless chess.
