The Sinquefield Cup sees Magnus Carlsen and 11 more of the world's best players compete in the Saint Louis Chess Club from 17-28 August 2019. The event is the fifth leg of the 2019 Grand Chess Tour. In addition to tour points the prize fund is $325,000, with $90,000 for 1st place.
Players receive 130 minutes for the entire game, with a 30-second delay from move 1. A tie for first place will be decided in a 2-game rapid mini-match (10 min + 5 sec delay), in case of just two tied players, and if necessary an Armageddon game (5 vs. 4) on 29 August at 13:00 local time. @@kavyanshagrawal5279 it's an unconventional answer for native English speakers to highlight absurdity. In this case, it just means "there's a lot of arrows." "Yes" can also be an answer to either/or questions when it means both. Eg: "Do you want pepperoni or bacon on your pizza?" "Yes" I hope this explanation helps.

@jurajliovic6178
@jurajliovic6178 5 жыл бұрын
on 7:38 u said black looses the queen, but white will fastly lose his queen because of the bakcrank weaknesses. For example, queen captures rook on d7, rook captures queen and then rook to c1 requires rook to be retreated otherwise its checkmate if the queen captures and after the rook returns black will recapture the queen and be in a drawish rook ending. Like so agadmator can see this ;)

@UtzChips2009

It appears, per Stockfish, that Giri begins to go astray with 27...Qe5. The position is pretty complicated, as Stockfish is having a hard time settling on a good move for Giri that keeps him in the game. 27...Qe5 & moves that follow hands the game over to Ding. Stockfish appears to be settling with 27...R8c7 with only a 0.73 advantage for Ding. 27...Qe5 gives Ding a 1.50+ advantage. Could have spent a half hour going over the lines available for Black, starting with his 27th. I'm left to my own devices to try & figure out why.....and I'm no Expert [far from it] so I'll probably drown trying. I'll try anyways, as I love classical format struggles between Super GMs! 48 ply deep: 1. +/- (0.73): 27...R8c7 28.Bb3 Nc4 29.Rd8+ Kg7 30.h3 R5c6 31.Bxc4 Rxc4 32.R1d7 Qb6 33.Qxb6 axb6 34.h4 b5 35.a3 Kf6 36.Rxc7 Rxc7 37.Rd6+ Ke5 38.Rb6 Be8 39.h5 gxh5 40.Rxh6 Bf7 41.Rb6 Bc4 42.Nf4 Rc6 43.Rxc6 bxc6 44.Kh2 Kf6 45.Nxh5+ Kg5 46.Nf4 Kf6 47.Kg3 Bb3 48.Kh4 Bf7 49.Nh5+ Kg6 50.g4 fxg4 51.Ng3 Be6 52.Nxe4 Bd5 53.Nc5 Kf5 54.Kg3 Bf3 55.Nb3

Then White will play Kg2 to stop any checks and now it's impossible to stop tge Queen from coming into the position, either Queen goes to e2 or it goes to a7 or a6 depending on what Black does and White Queen will reach the Black King eventually.

I like these games much for real. Even if it wasnt for real, then anything to avoid seeing the faces of Lasker and Capa, 25 boring moves and a draw for the 50th time. #CapaSagaShouldHaveEnded45GamesAgo
