Only few KZbin channels make learning interesting and enthralling. This channel is one of the few. Thanks to the team that work so hard on animations and content.

Without a doubt, the best animation I have ever seen in a tech video. Just incredible!.. And the explanation is amazing as well. Even a complete layman can understand the concept. Brilliant job!👌 Keep posting.👍

Top notch animation.. And quality stuffs. Good job mate. So in splash lubrication the crank is splashing relatively hot oil into the cylinders ??
@Poop-nu1so6 жыл бұрын
Yathu prem : yes it's hot, but it's cooler than the surfaces it's being splashed onto, so it helps cool them. Typically the piston head bottoms, the connecting rods, and the cylinder walls get some oil. Each engine design is different, so check with your manufacturers specifications for details

@andrewt92046 жыл бұрын
This makes sense, thank you. This further shows me how important it is to keep your oil viscosity in the correct range and not let the oil become a sludge. I've always changed mine a tad early or had the oil tested to see how far I could still go.

Fantastic video Thomas, as always (actually seem to get better as time passes). I only have one comment and please do not view it as criticism. At 2:17 you mention 'Plain Bearing' but what is actually shown is a Ball Bearing. I think you would use a ball bearing in the position highlighted in the video, but a plain bearing for the piston rod journals. I do not know everything though, so perhaps I am wrong. Please keep up the great work!

Great Video and explanation. First video that explains how the oil runs through the different engine parts. It would have been nice to add the oil temp and pressure sensors - the it would have been really complete.
@spencertom28215 жыл бұрын
For someone who doesn't know anything about engine oil system doesn't need to see sensors, all we need is to see where it stays, where it goes and how it goes.
@MobiFlight5 жыл бұрын
spencer tom i assume you are watching it because you are (becoming) a pilot, and the oil temp and pressure gauge are part of the system and very important indicators and it is helpful to understand how they are integrated in the system - for me it would have made this video perfect - it’s already great.

OMG it's been ages since we've seen him (or at least it sure feels like that) So glad you've upload another video, these are so informative, I love them! Thank you a million times :) Here's the link to support the channel: *bring-knowledge-to-the-world.com/* Since it doesn't seem to be in the description. Oh and one other thing, not that it seems to matter too much because the only sensitive information you'd send on that website is your Name, Email and message, but the site isn't secure since there's no signed SSL certificate. And with KRACK vulnerability (which happened fairly recent) this could be annoying, so just be careful!!
