Engine Removal Made Easy! What Does The Fossil's Front Clip Weigh?

Today we made a big step in getting The Fossil back on track! Removing the engine in preparation for final disassembly, and then starting the reassembly process of the new short block!

Man ,that’s probably the slickest paint job on any race truck I’ve seen. I knew it looked good but didn’t realize how nice. It looks better than any mirror I own 😂

Haha thank you! My dad & I did the cab/bed/chassis back in 2017. A friend of mine out of West Virginia Travis Hess is a well known, in the Mopar racing world, custom painter. He did the front clip & doors for me in 2019. He was needing a transmission built for a truck he was working on at the time & my wife and I really wanted to have the truck at our wedding since we went to prom in it. My dad & I would not have had time to get the parts done in time for the wedding so I did some trading with Travis. He knocked them out in time for us & did an amazing job!

Man that removable front clip is awesome! I need to look into a setup like that for my pulling truck. I’ve taken a few motors out the regular way and it’s a lot of pumping on the engine hoist!

The front bumper is actually carbon fiber that has been spray chromed
