You guys need to do these repairs with the engine installed on the car. Why do you need to remove the intake manifold.? I have seen the starter remove without taking out the intake manifold

I would not remove the intake manifold way too much to disconnect. It looks like it would be a lot easier to remove the battery and its tray to gain access the starter.

Where on earth is the starter motor for kia sportage 2007 located? I've looked everywhere inside and under the engine. Must be hidden like this one.

That's diesel engine, on gasoline engine is the same position of the electric starter?

2014 sorento v6 IS NOT in this location. It is located between the catalytic convertor and the block. You can see it from underneath the vehicle.
