love the content on your channel, very educational ! I hope you don't mind me asking but what microphone do you use ? I might have a suggestion that could help reduce the white noise.

+Kapil Patel Thank you, I'm glad you like the content. I'm using Rode videomicro in the first shot and pyle pro pdwm96 wireless lavalier in the rest. I should have removed the wind guard from the videomicro and turned down the volume on the lavalier I think. Im really new to the audio stuff so advice is definitely welcome, thank you.
@Kapil-Patel7 жыл бұрын
Rode is a really good for audio. If you currently record the audio at a high volume, turn it down and crank it up in post production. Do a sample test to see if it helps to cut out white noise. DIYPerks - This channel may be useful for cheap mods to your setup. I'm not associated with his channel but the information on light and sound is excellent.

Very nice and neat job on rebuilding your engine, including retaining the EGR and TViS. I would not use throttle body cleaner to check for vacuum leaks; in addition to being highly flammable, it is also an excellent solvent, and can harm painted surfaces.

So it wasn't due to having Corolla parts? Glad you fixed your problems... a spring failure lol, OST is probably like "I told you so". Good aw11 4age content on youtube is hard to find (nonexistent maybe?), thanks for the videos. Btw, I like how you made your stop motion video into the outro.

thedonace213 He really did tell me so. My fault for not listening. I have ordered an aw11 distributor just to be 100% sure, worst case I'll just have a spare. Glad the content is helpful, I'm having fun making it. I'm planning to start making more entertaining stuff too. Thanks for watching.

if you don't have a stethoscope to listen to injectors, get a long screw driver put the metal end up against each injector and the handle up to your ear. it will give you the same results. i had to do this to my aw11 when i was having misfiring issues with the 4agze

I'm rebuilding 4age engine and my Mr2 didn't have the hoses from the old engine. So, if you could show me how they are setup on your engine that would be most helpful!

+Jeremiah Hale Here you go: www.pbase.com/aw11mr2/image/39827800. This is what I used and how I set em up. The entire gallery in this link is super useful, check it out. This will be more useful in this case than a video I think. Feel free to ask if something isn't clear.

I just delete all the egr shit and just keep the tvis. Makes the engine look much more simpler and less things to cause problems. Also the egr valve is like 30+ years old and sometimes gets stuck causing huge vacuum leaks

How do u delete it I need help please. I just also came back from drive my mr2 and the dam thing surges all the time when it’s on drive at a stop light and overheats but the head gasket has no leaks and it has a bad rattle when I give it gas and it almost sounds like my flywheel is about to fly please if u can help me

Could you help me out I have a 86 aw11 it has a strong crank but will not turn on. I’ve replaced efi and injector relays I have spark, but I can’t get it to run on its own power. Unless I use starting fluid, but will die immediately, any tips?

Did you test compression?

How do you replace spark plug tube seal on a 4age? My spark plugs are covered in oil.
@d4a7 жыл бұрын
+ariyapol prasertsilps If it's a 16v 4age it doesn't have spark plug tubes and no seals. It might be a worn valve cover gasket. Remove the valve cover and replace the seal, it's fairly easy. Take a look at the grommets underneath the valve cover nuts, they can leak oil too.

I wouldnt be driving that in the rain, snow or after a car wash due to your placement of the intake filter
@d4a6 жыл бұрын
Jess John You're right. I placed a big plastic bag over the filter whenever I washed the car. I got rid of the entire stock setup now. Making something new with bike carbs. Check it out on my channel if you have the time.

driving 4 answers just curious what was the total cost of your engine rebuild and where did u get brand new parts like the metal coolant hose attached to water pump
@d4a6 жыл бұрын
Jess John I stopped keeping track of the cost. Ballpark is 3.000$ let's say. But it can be done for 1500$..maybe. The parts aren't new, they're restored. Sandblasted and galvanized.

So iv been having problems with my mr2 not driving after I put into drive. I think it's due to all the cracked vaccum lines could that be the case?
@d4a6 жыл бұрын
That's clearly a transmission problem, a cracked vacuum hose can't interfere with the transmission to that extent. Maybe your auto tranny bit the bullet, great opportunity to convert to manual ;)

@@d4a I can feel it bite down its like the car loses power when you put it into drive. The car was last registered 20 years ago so every line is cracked due to such exposure from those hood vents. Thanks for the reply brha
