A clean machine runs more efficiently, runs cooler and less likely to cause a fire. When I was a mechanic for a local John Deere dealer first thing I did was give the machine a good cleaning. It was amazing how dirty some of these machines where. Part of your daily maintenance is cleaning your machine.

With all your knowledge about lawn tractors you should restore a classic tractor like an old Massey Ferguson

Garden tractors and a real tractor is a huge difference, massive cost hike and they require a lot of space which he does not have (by looks of video)

You should get a spit water high pressure cleaner from over here in Australia. They are the most powerful over anything. It will de skin you if you aren't careful enough. You can even get a water heater. Great vid though daggerwin

Chances are that would strip the paint of an old machine though & if they get too hot they end up leaving marks on the steering wheel or rubber pipes

2 fuel filters and one from the 2 disconnected... Than you allready know, they had the same problem. But never looked to the real problem. BTW, after cleaning some parts, it almost looked like new. Great job dagger.

I was wondering if you cleaned the inside of the tank out but since it looked plastic I figured it wouldn’t of been too bad anyway, did you just swish some clean gas around in it ?

The color of the fuel made me think it was a petrol engine. I was surprised to see it was a diesel. Our diesel is not that color, it's more clear with a blue tinge . Our super leaded petrol was that red color. Good vid mate 👍

There’s on road and off road diesel. They die the off road stuff so they can dip your tank and see if your paying to road tax.

The red color is usually home heating oil fuel, that is here in Ct.

I think the problem was that the gas tank was filled with what appeared to be cherry kool aid, not a blocked fuel filter.

Sams Restos’ fuel line is it’s own thing. You can buy it by the foot

so someone changed the engine side filter but likely didn't know or couldn't be bothered changing the fuel tank side... think that's a lesson for everyone. don't half do a job when it comes to filters etc...
