we had almost 40 years of civil war as a consequence of that US intervention, we are still suffering social problems because of that stupid civil war (poverty, lack of infrastructure, a high rate of emigration and so on)....anyway what is done is done, hope this never happen again

Now look at how far into the future this action has reached...There's still nothing there for them, so here they are 65 years later still migrating en masse to the United States for opportunities to make enough remittance money to send back to Guatemala, where their fathers, uncles, and grandfathers build and maintain their family retirement homes .Read the New Yorker article "The Dream Homes of Guatemalan Migrants" for more information on that. Here's the link to it: www.newyorker.com/news/dispatch/the-dream-homes-of-guatemalan-migrants

The truth is that Arbenz was a Communist highly influenced by Soviet, Czech, and North Korean propoganda, but not exactly a "Moscow puppet." Arbenz officials made many trips to the Stalinist government of Czechoslovakia.
