I think building a dual chamber system for the web fluid where the two main compounds mix as it comes out is the way to go. That way 1) you get a more consistent stream, and 2) the fluid isn’t limited by things like how long it takes to react with the air, needing to be aerosolized, etc. think like when mixing together borax solution and superglue, and you get a solid compound

Make a fist. Now, make a fist, but with your pinkie finger sticking out. Literally nobody sticks their pinkie finger out while the other fingers are entirely closed. So that's your differentiating variable. Either stick a cord in the glove that senses pinkie-state (taut if closed, loose if pointed), and disable the shooter while the cord is taut, or make a capacitive sensor where your pinkie would naturally land during a closed hand, and disable the shooter when it senses the pinkie is closed. You could do both for redundancy/reliability, honestly. Add a quarter or half-second delay to the webshooter trigger to give the system time to recognize pinkie-state/to give your hand time to settle, as needed. Then, you'd be able to trigger webshooters going straight from closed fist, to shooting-gesture - without first having to let-off of the palm-lever at all. You could just keep your middle/ring finger curled in all the time, even, and it wouldn't matter. Just stick out the pinkie (and pointer and thumb, if you want) and it's webbin' time. Also, if it hasn't been said before: I think achieving laminar flow of web fluid out of the barrel is key. That, plus sufficient pressure, is going to keep things intact until impact at your target. If you ask me, I think you need to work on perfecting those things before you actually figure out your fluid formula. *After* you figure out that, and then figure out the formula, you can then work on modifying the shooter to ensure the finalized fluid doesn't set/cure inside the chamber/barrel. Also, if it hasn't been said before, I think you need to do something where you're mixing two ingredients just before leaving the barrel, like some kind of fast setting expoxy, but work on it being something that isn't brittle, and sets incredibly fast/milliseconds after coming in contact with air (in which case, you'll need to figure out how to keep air our of the system before, during, and after firing. Maybe an inert gas injection sort of situation.

hey bro, i came across this video and i didn’t even watch it yet, but man it took me back. i remember wanting to be spider-man so bad that i tried to make his webs before. i looked at a lot of guys like jlaservideo with his easy lighter webs, to other guys who tried to explain the formula, but at the end of the day i never had the time nor materials to make one, and i was also very young. i always wanted a suit for spider-man, but i sort of grew out of it in my older days. i didn’t even see ur progress so far and to be still trying to do the impossible is awesome bro, please don’t stop if this is what you love doing.

Idea... since you asked... Problem: the projectile resembles a squirrel gun as it continues to appear liquid up until the moment it floats away. Half baked solution: launching a rubber BB (white, transparent or translucent) through a sticky glue... leaving a web like trail. This would give mass to the launch. Distance, speed, accuracy, etc. The longer the trail... the better. Physics is my only help. As I'm not a chemist. Im using your video as inspiration. But it is a completely different concept. Meaning, you will have to start this process from a blank slate. The idea came from the image of the web like trail hanging from your fingers. If the web need to be spread out... send 2 or 3 BBs through at each shot to disperse the web at launch. Pressure to launch is important. You must not use too much pressure. Slower is better as it will need to stick to the BB. It also needs to be seen by cameras. As well as not to be dangerous. Getting shot in the eye, with an unidentified substance should be a caution.

I have a suggestion for the next suit whenever you work on it. I personally like to use dragonskin silicone for the emblems. Superglue ends up making spandex stiff and takes away stretch where ever its applied. With the dragonskin emblems however you make a puff paint barrier of the outline of your emblems on the fabric and fill the inside with the silicone. When the silicone cures it'll bond to the fabric and will stretch with it. If you're interested in trying this for the emblems, test it on a scrap piece of fabric first to see if you like how it turns out.

Love the videos!! Thank you for the formula!! I hope it all goes well for you!! Couple notes that i think would cool! If you did a dual tank with water on one and formula on the other. If you used a micro motor to spin a nozzle with multiple settings you could choose between shoot modes. For the water if you used a ring mist system you could solidify the formula straight out of the shooter

Should possibly consider bringing that up a time or two in your vids because as I can see a lot of your inspiration is coming from there. Also this webfluid has been around for a while. Redesign the nozzle to be similar to a larger syringe point. If you have a steel tube in the center as the secondary nozzles are rotating around the center (primary) it will help bind the fluid with water. Only problem is to figure out which is the primary cartridge and the other is secondary. Either fluid is the primary and water is misted through the secondary or vice versa. Either way best of luck man.

You have my sympathies regarding beryl, good that you were safe and able to still work on the suit. If its possible, I remember seeing a video of someone who did a a 3D printed webshooter (at least I think it was 3D printed?) and their trigger mechanism for the webs was actually pulling the wrist back, so maybe that could work in conjunction with your double-tap trigger? Potentially? Maybe? Either way, keep up the great work!

Awesome!!!!!!!!! I wanted to offer some ideas of you hadnt already thought of them 😊 I actually think the comic webshooters look cooler and allow more room for functionality. Instead of steal plates you could replace them with more cartridges. And as far as the rubber gasket to pencil torch problem, I'm not sure how the gasket fits on the torch with your design but if you thread the end of torch then add a cap you could pressure fit the rubber gasket in place. Making it easier to replace or fix? Great video can't wait to see more
