About Dream Engines: Nomad Cities
Advanced society is long gone, the world is overrun by the Dream Plagues. The only survivors are small nomadic tribes that don’t attract too much attention. And now, the discovery of a long-abandoned project of the ancients lights a new hope - the flight-capable Nomad Cities.
• Build an industrious flying city•
Your city’s population and economy form the backbone of your survival. Running out of food or resources can be just as dangerous as meeting a Dream Plague in the wilds. Plan and build automated production lines, and keep your people housed, happy and well fed.
• Survive until the last moment - then run! •
Fortify your city and defend it against raids for as long as you can. But even the ancients were unable to withstand the Dream Plagues forever - the longer you stay, the stronger they become. Unlike the ancients, however, you are able to grab your entire city and just fly away when things become too rough.
• Balance expansion and disposable buildings to be left behind •
Your city’s area is limited. You’ll have to balance between expensive long-term upgrades to expand your city, and building disposable infrastructure that will be left behind. Carefully choose which buildings you take with you and which you can live without - at least for a while.
• Find and exploit scarce resources across different biomes •
• Explore the world with a customizable Steambot •
• Discover ancient mysteries •
• Research, craft, and upgrade your infrastructure •

this game seems remarkably similar to my factorio mod Warptorio2 in terms of building on a platform and moving that platform around with the buildings on it.

quick tip, you can cross railtracks, for the starwood just send the tar across the wood supply it'll be just fine

Being able to move buildings around for free is a really nice feature. I always get OCD about building placement in RTS and city builder games and end up demolishing and rebuilding a lot when I expand.

I know this vid is about 3 months old but you should play mindustry it has a similar concept and I think this was inspired by that game. Mindustry: factory tower defence Forgot this games name and on mobile so I can't check the name: factory tower defence Old Mindustry: waves get harder and harder untill you launch This game well the same thing. Also mindustry was made a couple years ago.

just had 3 tries on challenging mode, first try i took off at wave19 got a nice gud old time until i decided that 2 skulls was a good idea. 2nd try i tried wave20. 3rd try i tried wave20 with upgraded gear. note to self, don't be trying wave 20. 4 thicc walls and t2 turrets ain't enough

It's not as efficient but it would work better when hanging areas, if all raw materials went straight to the city centre, then out to the processors then back in. Maybe it's a waste of weight (if conveyors have significant enough weight) but it would certainly make it more modular
