Further how can you vary carrier power which has no dependency on index value but depends on amplitude of carrier . So you are varying amplitude of carrier in that sense ??

Shanu Verma : in question, it is given that radio output is 50w, loss power is 10w. Now in that case what can be carrier and side band power for two cases , that is what the question. I don't understand what you don't understand

I had the same doubt. Total power of the amplifier modulator is 60W at 100% modulation index. Since the modulation index is reduced to 75% now the power of the amplitude modulator will not be equal to 60W
