Unlocking the engineers didn't bother me. It was all play the game stuff. The required materials to perform upgrades? That enraged me.

Yes, it should be reconstructed around some kind of dynamic mission for the engineer. I don't mind some of the prereqs, like you must be an experienced combat pilot to talk to me, but the rest is nonsense. Once you've unlocked a recipe, it should be available for a modest cost and no materials (and no random number generator!)

These "Engineers" in real life: "Right so I've improved thrust by 20% over factory. It now uses 35% more fuel and the service life is measured in weeks rather than years. Have fun, bro."

@@Youda00008That one is easy... Its a scam. People trade high grade very expensive materials for lower grade shit they need. Forexample trading ruthenium for mercury and such.

The pick of the number "24" for the Sensor Fragments was a nice touch. the fact that you only get them in drops of 3 so you'll have 2 units left over is very ED (as in "Special ED")

Meanwhile, more neutral sources like steam charts shows the game barely getting past 3k players average each month. A historic all time low and the kiss of dead for this ancient game.
