Based on his season Rashford doesnt even deserve a call up, but he's capable of scoring in the biggest of games. Sometimes all he needs is a random moment, and he'll smash it top corner. I think this is too valuable to leave at home regardless of form.

I don't think Rashford has a place in the squad, I see 4 wingers there already in Grealish, Saka, Palmer, and Gordon, as well as guys like Foden who can play there if needed

- Mainoo needs to start next to Rice to help control the midfield. - Put Bellingham in the 10 and Foden on the LW. - Get the LB to overlap as often as possible and tell Foden that he has a free role to drift inside to help the midfield. This is the best way to get foden to play more centrally in this team while still keeping it simple and not compromising our midfield. If Foden doesn't deliver, then drop him. It is what it is

I know rashford has been in bad form for a while but I think leaving him is an error, the thing with rashford is even when he isnt in good form he's ALWAYS capable of big goals in big games, he has that natural x-factor that gordon doesnt necessarily have and that matters more than people think especially in tournaments like the euros that need players to produce big monents in high pressure matches

Im not mad at the Rashford omission. From a tactical point of view it does worry me that we only have Anthony Gordon who likes to run in behind and has the pace to change the game. Even then Gordon is an unknown quantity at international level. Where I can see us getting unstuck in games is the likes of Saka who isnt exactly rapid and he prefers it to feet, as does Foden, Grealish, Eze, Palmer, Kane and Toney.

Gordon was England captain just recently in the tournament they played before season started. he also got his 1st England Cap a few months ago and performed exceptionally well. he is potentially a very very dangerous weapon England have. just look at his performance this season

My only counter argument, to play devils advocate is Gordon hasn't done it at senior level for England whereas Rashford was one of our best players in the World Cup. I know it sounds bad to say but part of me is glad that it mostly likely won't be a Man Utd player that gets scapegoated for England's failure now.
