Odasaku is the key to Dazai's new life. Currently, Chuuya seems to be the one taking Dazai's position at Port Mafia. I mean if both of them still stay at the same organization. I can clearly see Dazai hunting down on Atsushiroll and shouting "Weretiger" instead of a good boy messing around with Kunikida all day

i feel so bad for both odasaku and dazai, because in oda’s case he was just doing what he had to to take care of the orphans. he thought their blood was on his hands so he knowingly walked towards his own death. he saw that dazai was trapped like him and wanted him to go towards the light, but even in the present dazai still feels the weight of the things he did in the port mafia (even tho it was from a long line of abuse mori-dazai-aku-kouyko) dazai still feels the pain of the wrong things he did and he wants desperately to right his wrongs, which is why i think (manga spoilers?) he planned to send himself to prison
