this is a late response, lol, but when you think about it, the first season of the anime is much more based on gore and fear than the second season, so it makes sense that it would be creepier and les emotional, whereas the second season has much more emotion and "feels" so the theme song is sadder.

i just found this song like yesterday but something about the way you sing it makes me feel something special. it makes me feel like one needs to run from something but something deep inside them holds them back- still, it’s urgent to leave but something just holds them locked to the place/person they have to leave- which is probably the meaning behind the song anyway but you bring out this urgent, still weeping feeling. it’s just very special to me. thank you for this.

I only watched Higurashi recently (mainly because of the 2020 version (I always like to watch the original version of an anime before watching a reboot/retelling/whatever the new version of higurashi is)) And this song gets me so emotional and reminds me of all the great moments from season 2 it's hard to put into words In any case I really love your cover of this song, it captures the emotions of the original so well! 💜

Damn. I love how you arranged the guitar work. Reminds me of one of those ballads or softer songs metalcore bands tend to have. They tend to use similar chord progressions to that of the ending, too. That tremolo picking was perfect for those broken down parts, btw. Awesome job.

One of the things that I've noticed about the covers is that they tend to leave me with an emotion I'm not entirely sure how to describe. With here, there's the pain that seems to be what Higarashi is about, the town filled with tragedy just waiting to come out. While the lyrics tend to be talking about staying away, it feels like there's also this cry for help, and maybe also a bit of help. This also makes me want to watch Higrashi now, but from what I've heard, I think I should wait a little while.
