English Language Proficiency (ELP) for Indian Pilots | Course Overview | Test Format

Episode 27:
ELP test is conducted to check for a pilot's English proficiency, conducted by the civil aviation authority in accordance with ICAO.
The exam is conducted by 3 centres in India:
1) Trans Aviacons (HYD): [phone], [phone]

2) Flytech Aviation Academy (HYD): [phone], [phone]

3) Indigo
The exam is divided into 3 parts: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.
Candidate is issued with Levels (1-6) depending on the proficiency. This also decides the validity of the test.
If your test has lapsed then you need to attend the mandatory 30 hour course as per DGCA CAR, which is conducted by the above institutes.

I hold FAA CPL but when I hit the Conversion Tab it shows that we need to show ELP certificate. It is less than 3 years of issuance date. What is the procedure to update Level 4 ELP on EGCA before conversion? Also what validity to add, like 3 years after the issuance date?

At the time of conversion, if your faa issuance date is within 3 years they will endorse level 4 automatically. If your license issue date has crossed 3 years then you need to do the ELP course and test.
