@@Savvy_equine11 I don’t think what Claire did was on purpose or out of malice and I don’t think @Kate Lynch meant any hate towards Claire in her comment. I just know that for myself, out of a curtesy for our horses, it is nice to try to set the heavier saddles down on their backs. Just like how doing up a girth slowly instead of sharply pulling it tight is a curtesy. Just a little extra way to say thanks to our horses. :)

@@Savvy_equine11 it wasn’t hate. It was a little snarky tho because yea she definitely didn’t need to throw the saddle onto the horses back. This can hurt a horse especially if done frequently so no the horse wasn’t “okay🤣🤣🤣” Pretty sure you wouldn’t want me to launch a backpack full of textbooks at your back repeatedly

@@EquiEsti6194 okay girl chilll... western horses are VERY used to heavy saddles getting thrown up there. Claire did no wrong she does it how I do it lol (I’m a western rider) my horses are vet checked and very well taken care of.. there perfectly healthy🤣

I’m a barrel racer I dint rly do cattle as much but the other day I sent in a feild with cattle and my mare knows how to keep up with them she’s actually really good

This was awesome! I just do barrel racing and I didn't know there were competitions for this! The most I've done is herd and work cattle on my friends ranch for vaccines. It is always fun getting to try a new discipline, I rode english on my friend's horse for the first time a few days ago and it was like bareback with stirrups which makes everything y'all do in English so much more impressive!

You need to place the stirrup on the saddle horn whenever you deal with tacking up, doing/undoing the cinch, and untacking.

You should try extreme county racing. It isn’t talked about much but it is really fun. It is basically just doing obstacles but you are timed. I have never done cattle sorting but from what I can see you did pretty good!!!
