We sure miss him. There is no one like him today. Imagine the movies he would have made if he was still alive. Rest in peace, Bruce.

Bruce moved to the US at only around age 19, and now he is 24 in the interview, but his mastery of English is excellent even by today's standard of students graduating from local Hong Kong English schools. His secondary school was La Salle College and is certainly a very good English school even now, but such level of mastery of English is truly exceptional, not only his kung fu.

Absolutely. Even though he arrived in the U.S. with a rough English accent, he was able to refine it with the help of his early American students and his subsequent enrollment in Edison Technical School and University Of Washington, and by also watching American TV shows and soap operas with his then girlfriend, Linda Emery. His dedication to improving his English paid off.

This video must have been shot in a mirror because Bruce Lee did these moves from his right side not his left side

Van Williams said in an interview that when he met Bruce Lee, he was impressed with him, but he couldn't understand the words he was saying. And there was another producer on the Kung Fu TV series who was supposed to hire Bruce Lee, who had been given a retainer of $20,000 and was expected to be part of the show. And he said that when he met Bruce Lee, he couldn't understand the words he was saying. So based on this interview, I don't know what the heck they're talking about because Bruce Lee clearly spoke English very well. And if you watch this and also the Pierre Burton video, you'll see that Bruce Lee spoke English very well, definitely at a C2 level.

You can clearly see that he kinda switches to the battle mode when he is getting into it. Bruce changes in split of a second.

And to think, he was he was full of complete nervousness but the producers knew this, and eased his discomfort by having him speaking about and demonstrating his art.

6:45 -- that whole part is so great. His words command the same strength and weapon.

It sure was. And it's the same speech which earned him some naysayers and enemies during his demonstrations to acquire students prior to this screen test.
