獨孤信 had three daughters, the eldest daughter became the Empress of Emperor Ming of Northern Zhou Dynasty 北周; the second became the empress of the first emperor Yang Jian of Sui Dynasty 隋朝, and the other married the father of the first emperor of the Tang Dynasty 唐朝. It was very very rare to have an empress in the family, let alone three. This was such an unusual family and Dugu Sin 獨孤信 was well and truly the father in law of China at that time.

The fact that her dad doted on the new guy instead of caring for her feelings about what just happened and then said it was no big deal to the guy and he’ll just comfort her until she stops crying? I would stop talking to him for days if I was her, the number one thing your own children need in a parent/child relationship is trust and if she couldn’t even do that when something like this bothers her, I can’t imagine how bad their relationship would get with time because of this stuff, it may not seem deep but dependency on a parent when it comes to this stuff is really important especially when it comes to trust and support, the hurt she must’ve felt, it would’ve made me lose trust and even more so want to fight to go out on my own if I was her and depend on another fatherly figure , because this ain’t it.
