As a Chinese, our schools switched from British English to American English around 2000 (when I was just in primary school)and I though I speak American English. Until I found this channel recently and I'm really surprised that although it's kind of a mix, but I actually speak more of British accent than American accent. I can't quite figure out why.

I LOVE british accent and I feel very comfortable with it Actually most of people told me that I should learn American accent because it's easer and more useful than british accent For them yes it is But for me it's not quite easy because I got used to speak with britisg accent I hope it would be better

In Portugal, in Portugal, I learned English at school with British pronunciation. But TV, cinema and the internet have changed our pronunciation a lot. because the environment is more American.

This is the IPA symbol for a glottal stop: \Ɂ\ & \ɂ\. In the USA, we use the \d\ sound in 'better' but the ɂ in 'button'. I think that we may use a Glottal Stop replacement for 'tt' words where 'on' or 'en' follows the double /t/'s. Another example would be 'gluɂun' / 'glutton'.
