Hi Lucy , I wrote matric ( academic ) in 1961 in Bloemfontein South Africa. Christian Brothers College - a private school , our English and Latin teacher ( Brother Hayden ) could speak a number of languages . He would embellish the topic ( of the day) with a full background of history behind it ; eg Caesar’s Gallic War’s, Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray etc. What I’m pointing out is the fact that I’m speaking Kings English today. Unfortunately having taken it for granted - your wonderful programme has made me realize what a blessing this has been involving a very difficult and complex subject. My parents both English would correct us in many little ways as well. Just imagine getting it right from a young age in the middle of Southern Africa so far away from London England. 👍👌 Thank you so much.

Hi Lucy, I've never been your student but I wanna thank you for having posted this video because it helped me a lot to pass the CAE exam! I took the exam in November 2022 near where I live, I am from Lima, Peru. After having getting 194 and Grade B in the exam I am really grateful to you because your video played a vital role in my accomplishment, the way in which you present the phrasal verbs with "get" it is really useful for me because it was related to your personal experiences. I think that most students would be delighted if you could make another video using other phrasal verbs while talking about your life. I wish you the best, thanks a lot. Yours sincerely, Robert Manoel Castillo Santos

It is lifelong learning but rewarding in terms of personal growth. Finally, 100%agree : having a mother tongue boyfriend can get behind you (a friend of mine did and got through easily) but me, unfortunately, I have never matched my British soul mate. 😂 Stay safe 🇮🇹🍀🇬🇧

I know KZbinrs usually speak slowly so that everybody can follow the thread, but honestly I think that if you understand what is being said in a video at 1.75 speed is a great improvement. And that means that you are a superb teacher, because that improvement wouldn't have come without your help. So I can only say you are one of the best teachers in the platform and I hope you will be here for many years because I am upgrading my vocabulary, fluency... and I owe it to you.
