Tip 1: there are 3 lines on the baseplate made to line up the RA2 attachment. Depends on where your roller is spaced to, ie: Front most line on 3 or C, second on 2 or B, furthest back 1 or A. (unlike in this video, my rotary attachment has ABC instead of 123) Tip 2: The removable baseplate is actually meant to be removed and place under where the motor is for support. Wonderful tutorial and perfect settings Marilyn, and happy crafting everyone!

Oh! My Goodness Marilyn, I'm so very happy seeing you demonstrating with the original rotary. I have both but the RA2 intimidates me just looking at it and all its parts. Thank You! Thank You! Ms "Sam" in TN😊

I don't have the RA2 but it does look intense:) We just drove through Tennessee last night and today. Very pretty state!

so for the YETI. dark color. what is the final setting? (since your fooling around with it at first)
@MakingwithMarilyn Жыл бұрын
I haven't tried a Yeti, but for this powder coated tumbler, I started with the blue light laser and did 100% power with a speed of 400. Then I used the infrared light and did 50% power with a speed of 400.

where is the best place to get the cups? is there a way to do more coverage on the tumbler, similar to a full coverage?
@MakingwithMarilyn8 ай бұрын
I just buy mine off of Amazon. And, yes, you can do a lot more coverage.

can anyone help me, under my engraving settings I have dot duration, power, and DPI. I am trying to look everywhere to find out how to change it from that to just power and speed. thank you

Total noob here so please excuse me if this is a silly question. I just received my F1 today and the rotary should be arriving tomorrow. In your video you focused the laser before moving the dot to the top of the tumbler. Is that ok to do since it is probably only a cm or so difference in distance between the tumbler and the laser or should it be done once the light is at the top of the tumbler?
@MakingwithMarilyn Жыл бұрын
It probably would have been more technically correct to refocus once I got it to the top. I was so excited to jump in and try this:)
@ve3lks997 Жыл бұрын
Tnx for the clarification Marilyn. The rest of my shipment came in last night so getting everything assembled and ready to go. Keep the great videos coming as I find you are one of the few that explain the whole process. @@MakingwithMarilyn

It does have that effect on a lot of people. Thanks for watching, despite the jumbled mess of my desktop:)
I have the xtool D1. I use some sort of weight inside the tumbler to keep it from shifting slightly with each rotation, I filled a sock with marbles and that worked well. You can also adjust the speed the rollers move in the software. Thanks for the video!

Where is your favorite place to order tumblers
@MakingwithMarilyn10 ай бұрын
My favorite tumblers have been Realkant and Hiipoo tumblers from Amazon. I have ordered from Alibaba before and they are less expensive, but I have had better results with the others.

That is so cool! The only issue I see is you’re making me want to spend money again 🤦🏽♂️. What happens if you push lines per cm even higher than 200? Does it get to a point where you don’t see a difference anymore in “resolution?”
@MakingwithMarilyn Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I bumped this up to 300 for a few of my little samples, and with such simple wording, I did not really see a difference. I need to play around with it some more to see what types of images it makes a big difference on.
