短短認識到谷愛凌就已經被她的活力以及開朗圈粉了，深深地為她著迷。 不僅僅是谷愛凌，所有2022年冬奧選手都值得讚賞，在歷經嚴重的疫情將近2年多，能夠不中斷訓練踏上 這個世界最高競技的舞台，真的很不容易，以我自己喜歡的馬拉松運動，在去年台灣疫情嚴重也不得不中斷了 將近三個月，隨著疫情發展越不能出門去跑去訓練，心情就更慌更煩，而這些奧運選手要面對的是奧運舞台， 不僅為國爭光也為自己挑戰極限，能夠堅持著將近兩年嚴苛的疫情，真心為這些選手高興，也希望所有參加冬 澳的選手能夠取得佳績，更希望谷愛凌往後的表現能夠繼續創佳績。

因为喜欢奥运，而且第一次看冬奥，还是东道主，所以挺关注，然后无意中看视频发现谷爱凌这个女孩子要参加，评论很多人说她Sat几乎满分，然后斯坦福，妈妈北大，爸爸哈佛等等等。。。。。完美的不得了，于是看了冬奥比赛，她首次参加冬奥，参加不那么擅长的比赛就夺冠，其他两项将要比。于是就发现好优秀，看了下她的生平，是我心目中欣赏的人。我总是不由感叹，怎么能plan的那么好，时间全都刚刚切合。我05，她03年生 ，2022冬奥会，在北京，刚好在祖国，从小就训练滑雪，并且参加比赛，归化时间刚刚好。只能说努力+家境+运气缺一不可。当然爱凌也是多年来刻苦训练，才能一次又一次的抓住机会，有底气有勇气尝试，让梦想与目标一次次实现。斯坦福，学会很多运动，奥运会冠军，这些都圆了年少的梦。当然，这也归功于上一辈的家境，亲人都是高知，也有能力支持爱凌的梦想与爱好。妈妈谷燕眼光也很长远，懂得为爱凌计划未来，眼光很准。爱凌不是完美的，但她身上的所展现的一切，阳光，开朗，乐观，积极，勇敢，自信，有学识，情商，都让人赞叹。当然，也是妈妈良好的教育与家庭环境给予的，也是爱凌自己有目标，肯努力所形成的。 其实，成功很难，即使家境再好，不努力也不会扬名世界。即使再努力，尽所能发挥到极致，也不一定成功，或者这样的人真的很少。我不是脸上贴金，我和爱凌三观价值观和目标，挺一致的，这就是我为什么关注她，因为我想做的在她身上都成功了。就是我比她沉静点，她比我活泼，而且没有奥运冠军的目标。我想有一两个运动爱好，她有最爱的滑雪，我想尝试学会很多运动与技能，她学会篮球，田径，马术，钢琴，歌舞剧。我觉得女生要有事业与自我，她也激励女性。我觉得身材健康体重正常就可以了，她也反对过瘦。我一定要有学识，去名校，她也一定要考上斯坦福 。我喜欢时尚，她也喜欢。但我家境一般，一切都是靠自己，但我欣赏爱凌，也希望自己未来能成为和她一样优秀的人，尽我所能！

China is not just a country but an ancient civilization with different indigenous ethnicities. It is clear Eileen has kept up with her family roots and it shows in the Chinese language she speaks (better than a lot of the Chinese overseas), the food she enjoys, the relations she has there. Beyond realizing her personal dreams and the freedom she finds in pursuing it, is it difficult also to understand that much of her heart might just be recognizing this place that celebrates her ethnicity or these identity? Is it very different from that person in the US who went to the UK, Ireland or Scotland, or Africa or anywhere else in the world and find much to celebrate their roots and dreams? Stop having double standards or being angry about her decision. It is not a proof that any country is better or worse, nor a rejection of one for the other. Respect her independence and as a young woman, she has much to enjoy and much to discover along the way. It takes courage to do freestyle skiing and I believe that courage is evident in how she approach her life too. Go girl!

When I saw your comment I thought it was my comment, because I also left a comment saying that China is not a country but a civilization. People in the USA tend to think that if you were born in that country then your nationality can only be of that country. However, China is not just a country but a civilization, and Chinese are bonded by culture. This bond is beyond borders. You don’t have to be born and raised in China, you don’t even have to be full Chinese. As long as your heart is Chinese, you are Chinese. I believe this is also true for Jewish, but I am not sure. I am so proud of Eileen, she competed in the Olympic, at her best age, in her mom’s hometown, representing her grandparents’ home country. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and the best way of saying thank you to the three wonderful Chinese who raised her.

I like this energetic girl, it's an inspiration to all of us. Her mom really means a lot to her as her mom gave her much good advice that made her become the best of her today. Yes, I want to be the best of myself too, not because I want to win somebody else, just because I want to be the best of myself. When I was a girl at her age, I desperately wish I could get some advice as her mom gave her. Anyway, it's never too late to be the best of me.
