English is my first language, but growing up I was in French immersion and learned my verb conjugations in French. I used to be fluent in French, but haven't had to use it in many years. When I would have English paragraphs, I would have to translate them to French to know where the verbs were and what tense it would be. Sitting here listening to these videos is fun for me. I still get mixed up in the definitions of the verb conjugations. For the most part, I know what to say when given a phrase but to explain it is a completely different animal 😂 Loving these videos.

Thanks for your patience and willingness in teaching us these irregular verb tenses. It was hard to get an understanding of the concept when i was in school because there was too much to grasp as well as dealing with other demanded classes. I know it will take a lot of practice and effort. It is extremely to know it to be able to succeed in the corporate world and in your personal life

I LEARNT these tenses at school, but with you, it's clear, I am happy to discover your lessons. If I have understood (right tense?) we use the past simple when we want to speak about a past finished (with a date or a precise moment), but It seems to me - with the present perfect - we establish a relationship between an action which has begun in the past but without knowing if it's finished in our present ? Is it true or false ? the problem is not the verbal forms (even if I make mistakes) but WHEN to use the right tense according to what I want to explain. If Jill, or someone else who is better than I am, can say to me, it would be good for me to review the good USE !

Theodor Adorno Wondering Native English speaker here. Your comment would sound more natural if written like this: “I love the way you teach. This is without a doubt, the best method of teaching. Thanks a lot.” Perfect is too extreme here. If you say something is “perfect” or “the best” it’s best to use the word “love”. This is because the word “perfect, or best” is at a different intensity than “like” so it makes the senses sound odd. All natives will understand that you mean “love” as in “like a lot”. Idk what is wrong with the “so I like you way” but it just sounds strange at the end of a sentence, we would understand what you mean but it will immediately show us that your English needs work. Lastly “undoubtedly” isn’t often used when you are going to assess something. When we are about to describe something, it is much more common to see “without a doubt” which means the same thing, but they have different connotation to them. Undoubtedly is usually used to denote something specific of absolute. For example: “this is undoubtedly the last day I’ll be in this city” “This is undoubtedly what she was doing before she disappeared” That “undoubtedly vs without a doubt” thing just comes with exposure, so you not have to worry about that one, we wouldn’t suspect anything.
