I find it quite amusing that everyone talks about how boring school is but, still 300 thousand people decided to watch this in their free time. Though I must admit this is superior to school. Your education skills are superb.

School isn't voluntary though it's enforced, if you force anyone to do anything they won't enjoy it, this is a video only twenty mins long that people can watch whenever they want and also it's adults who want to learn it watching not kids at school being forced to do lessons, not really the same thing.

I learned this method from Mr Ramon Campayo, world memory champion. Ramon is able to memorize 23.000 words in perfect order. Believe me, it works ! Moreover I enjoy your learning method, funny acts reinforce the learning , you are in the right track !!! Suscribed and bell tolling. Blessing !!

Thanks for the fun and informative video about memory palaces. I have hundreds that I use for different purposes. I've used houses, apartments, and dorms I've lived in, schools, parks, neighborhoods, workplaces, and even movies and TV episodes as memory palaces. I used them to memorize Pi to about 5,600 places, and have used them in the Long-Term Memory events of the USA Memory Championship, which I've competed in 4 times, finishing as high as 3rd place in this year's competition.

@microchannel3773 жыл бұрын
it's a good method (memory). i learned it a long time ago from a different book. the one i learned involved the house but not the comedy. it still worked. you would basically imagine writing words on your wall, desk, table etc. associate each word in your shopping list with some familiar object, and then you easily recall the entire list. visual memory is the key. a person remembers what they see better than what they hear.

James, thank you for this spectacular method. But could you do one more video and show us how it works with verbs and adjectives. In my mind for now its can work only with nouns.
@jameswaltz42766 жыл бұрын
You already used this for verbs! The bacon is RUNNING, the ball is BOUNCING, the fish is WATCHING people FISHING, the monkey is POINTING or AIMING, the worm is PEEING, the rat is BRUSHING, the dog is WASHING. To put it with adjectives, you just need to get specific. The RED bacon is running, the HEAVY ball is bouncing, the DEPRESSED fish is watching, the AGGRESSIVE monkey is pointing, etc.

As example, if the new word that I learn is "door", I'll imagine that someone that I miss the most now, is knocking the door, calling out my name, and when I open it, he hugs me and say don't ever leave me anymore, stay by my side, and he says that he loved me. Well, 'cuz I'm a big fan of K-pop, I could imagine the idols and try to picture how it would be for every person. It'll be different for Sehun, mino, Heechul, and I'll start to laugh 'cuz it's just fun to imagine it. And I'll unconsciously think of a door, as a special thing.
