Hi everyone, as always extremely useful lesson. I still wait for these lesson about advanced future tenses. Before i watched the video I had taken the quiz and I got 8/9. I made a little mistake in the last question. I had always thought a gerund of “participate” contains with double 2 before I saw the answers. Thanks to you I know I was wrong. @@MeryemKocabayDesign No dear. There are some rules in English. little bit confused. when we use simple past continuous we use it as storytelling. We can describe it as when something was happening in the past and something happened "at the same time" as previously said the phone rang while I was reading. In the middle of the activity " reading", the phone rang But perfect continuous use to describe something had been happening and when "something happend" .it means one activity has already done or finished. For example: 'I had been jogging before it started to rain' it means I had completed jogging and after that here happened another action. Past continuous has different case as I said before. For example: You read a book from 2 PM until 3 PM yesterday. I ask you: 'What did you do at 02:30 PM yesterday?' You say: I was readind a book. It means at 02:30 PM you were in the during of reading.
