This is your courage and honesty...atleast you accepted you mistakes....now you won’t do it again.......For example..Thomas Alva Edison/had made 1000 mistakes after that he invented Bulb.. So Keep Trying Today people won’t understand but After next 5 year They will listen you.. 🙏✌️....
@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane4 жыл бұрын
Mukesh Tiwari I get what you are trying to say but it has nothing to do with courage to say that you make mistakes while learning something new. I make a living teaching people how to speak French and I have to remind them every single day that mistakes are a part of the process. Native speakers (English, French,...) make mistakes with their own native language. I started learning English when I was 27, I now teach in English, my business is in English and I still make mistakes. There is no progress without mistakes. So he can say whatever he wants, it tells more about him than about me.

Roonie, I love your classes. Thanks God/nature/universe for Roonie's life. Roonie, I got a big suprise when I discover that shrimp is an uncountable noun. I was so shocked that I looked for more information on internet and I'd like to share with you these three results stating shrimp is countable as well: - www.dictionary.com/browse/shrimp - www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/shrimp - dictionary.cambridge.org/dictionary/learner-english/shrimp I love your slang classes, bad words, nusty words, dirty words etc. English speaking "tryers", like me, must express ourselves in a different, bad and good situations. You are the best. You delivery us a real world like it is. Thanks, thanks, thanks a lot!!!

I usually explain that you can generalize in the singular or the plural. "Each," "every," and "per" are singular. The middle column is either mass (non-count) nouns or irregular plurals.

Ronnie, thanks for your fun and interesting lessons. Regarding the phrase" None of the ..." , I guess if it follows by an uncountable noun the verb is gonna be singular. Like we say " None of the information was useful. " Whereas if it follows by a countable noun , both singular and plural verbs are correct. Of course, singular verb is more formal and grammatical. For example, " "None of the books is/ are exciting. " Hope I'm correct! After all, I'm an English teacher! 😉 Keep up the good job! 👍❤

Good explanation. Thank you for your clear method to understand plurals. Here in Spain we have many words that when I usually try to change into a English language I have to be smart to to it well because we have several words that are plural with -es in the end of the word and in English not.

@linnaknudsen44714 жыл бұрын
Nice class, but you made an incorrect statement about "férias". That is an only-plural noun. We say "minhas férias..." when trying to refer to our breaks from job, school and so on. There's no singular form for that because it's always in plural. You can use a synonym in singular, which is "feriado (holiday)", but "férias" is always in plural. When it comes to holiday we usually say it when referring to 3-5 days, but vacation are longer times. There's also another example that is written with an "s" at the end, but it can be both singular and plural at the same time, it only depends on the article that comes before and the verb right after it. It's "lápis". We say "O lápis é azul (The pencil is blue)" and "Os lápis são azuis (The pencils are blue). And also in spanish... "vacaciones" only exists in plural form, there is no such thing as "vacación". Glad I could help. ;)
