Thanks a lot man! I was messing around with my valet service with my brand new hellcat and I quickly typed in a random password. I forgot right after I clicked “okay”. I got scared and I could not see any of my pages and I got locked out. I went to the battery and unplugged the wrong switch. My car went off valet but the classic Uconnect screen showed up. I set the theme back but all my features were glitching. My AC went either high or low. I could not go to drive modes. I later then tried this method and it worked. Thanks a lot man.

I’m actually impressed at your SRT pages reset, the techs at dodge told me you just have to wait hours for it to come back LOL how’d you figure that reset out?

Thanks, crazy thing is I called Uconnect and they told me the same thing. I thought it was a crazy thing that you would have to wait hours for it to reset. So I KZbind it and found a video where someone reset it like that.

I just got a security update on mine today, dealer said this one supersedes the other security updates. Mine basically prevents another key fob from being programmed.

Dodge offers 2 types of updates the one you have and the key fob locking software, locking the cars key fob transmitter via the software update and also have gotten the enhanced security update aswell they can't steal the car, you still need a key to start the car which they won't be able to do, all they did with disconnecting the battery was removed the limit hp feature on the Uconnect, the cars key transmitter will remain unchanged and won't be reset unlike the Uconnect

That’s a good point… I was going to do the key fob lock… but I haven’t had a chance yet. I do have a key block box that prevents them from duplicating the key.

@@DavidinHD1 I just saw a recent video of someone trying to get that security mode you have and Dodge told them they no longer offer it anymore so you just happened to get it during the time frame when they were offering it so I'm guessing they're aware of that issue you were showing people, now they're just locking the keys to the car key fob transmitter so no new keys can be made anymore, here's the video kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3fNcqZnpJmfmZo

Well I think the u connect app remote start on the app I think is a subscription. I didn’t renew mine since I have another tracking device. But if you don’t plan on re-upping ur subscription after the year then I would look into the viper

Hey man, my dealership did the update that makes it so you can’t use a key fob transmitter they did something to the security module, so only the fobs I have with the car will work. Else wise I have everything else but the car going 2.3 mph it goes still just slows it down

Yeah I have an updated video after this one on my channel check it out. The update that makes you go 2.3 horsepower has been discontinued and only the locking of the key to the car is the only one they have now

@@DavidinHD1 Thanks for the quick response man! Appreciate it illl definitely check the video out. Most the time when I leave my car for the nite I put it into valet mode regardless. My Uconnect app tracks my vehicle and let’s me know when the car leaves a specific zone I set. But with the subscription they can track your vehicle in live time on there end of the vehicle ever gets stolen all you need to provide them with is a police report I heard and the police department that you filed with so they can give the police live updates on where your dodge is going or where it’s at.

@@TransformingTogetherIA my subscription just expired, I’m think about restarting the service. But I did here that once your car is stolen and you use Uconnect to report your car is stolen that they stop the tracking feature. The reasoning is because they don’t want you chasing after the thieves. I don’t know how accurate that is, but I did hear about it.

Well damn, I got a letter for my widebody challenger scat saying there is a rf hub module update. Is this different from you security update or the same ?

Yes it is, that hub ties your keys to your car.. it can’t be duplicated. So it’s different that this security update.

I went a got the key fob enhancement. But my question is how do u actually know u got it or they did what u asked for?

No way to know for sure, unless you ask the dealership to see if they can make you a copy of a red key and see what they say. If the key fob enhancement has been done, then to make a new key you would need to order a new system that links the key to the car. So in theory if the key has been upgraded and lock down, they you can't make a copy.

Well I don’t about the Durango if it had the same like the the chargers. But u can try carlock it is a great device to start off with.

@@Thatguy1306n it’s a system that can provide updates and tracking of your car. If ur car senses any movement it will update u on your phone.

So does the Uconnect reset after you reconnect the battery? (Meaning there’s no info on your vehicle )

@realwilldrive Yes after disconnecting the battery for a bit it resets. You don’t lose your info… you just lose the access to the SRT pages and stuff like that cause it defaults to a regular charger Uconnect.

I wouldn't say it's worthless. Of course there would have to be a backdoor in case someone forgot their code. But now you know the only thing you need to do is lockdown access to the battery.

You would have to put some kinda cover, I mean with it being in the trunk and under the floorboard, not much u can do unless u get a cover over it
