Here’s how Dodge’s Latest Security Enhanced Mode Update Works

This is a 2021 Charger, I am under the impression that all 6.2 & 6.4 owners are eligible for this update at your local dealer.

While I love the ideation behind the update I feel the execution could have been better. They should have tweaked valet to 15-30 if you actually use a valet service and add a separate menu to tweak the performance of the car which everytime you go you put in a code. I guess I would want more customization on that.

I'm curious how a valet could even park the car with it driving like that lol. Sometimes valets take cars pretty far to park and 5mph won't cut it on main 35mph roads they might have to take to get to another lot. Good theft deterrent I suppose though

That’s a good update but most of the chargers getting stolen aren’t getting turned on they just break the back window then open the manual neutral box and get another car to push it

There's 18 gauge steel plates you can buy to prevent that neutral from being lifted

If battery is disconnected it cancels out valet mode and car runs normally... meant for valet people not to be speeding in ur car. But not the best for stealing if all you gotta do is take off a wire cable..

But it is 1 more step to take to steal the car. If you have enough measures in place, it will become almost not worth it to bother. Just go to the next challenger

So I put it in Valet mode then cut the car off and go inside my house? Like I’m only seeing this while the car is running.

In the next video put it in valet mode and trying disconnecting the battery and connecting it back, it’ll go back to normal mode probably

My girl and I just took delivery of a 2021 Challenger R/T Scat Pack Widebody Shaker. Now that you have the upgrade security system. How would you compare it to the previous valley mode? Do you feel that your car is less likely to be stolen?

Previous valet mode was very responsive, which I didn’t like. It just limited the speed to 70mph. I rarely have a use for valet but this is nice as an additional peace of mind. Congrats on the new car!

I had the security upgrade done at my dealership and nothing changed just goes to normal 50% power when valet mode is turned on. Am I doing something wrong?

Big HP reduction under 2021 just get the non ability for key fob duplication upgrade only. Normal valet mode only

I got a letter it says it blocks a fob from being configured. I used my valet mode don't want this

Absolutely fucking deplorable. I’ve got a damn M8 and I was thinking about a hellcat.. fuck that. Paper car with a big ass engine. It isn’t worth having your life taken. Plus all these idiots driving these cars makes them physically annoying. Be safe my man, and wise. Don’t put money into another FCA product.

So weird. My 21 scat in valet mode drives totally normal but feels like it’s only 4 cyl. I could totally drive mine anywhere in valet mode.
