I have never seen the "slide backhand counter" mentioned anywhere else before but it's something I discovered on my own after being targeted relentlessly. It definitely works. Great content!

Great video. Appreciate you showing some things that one doesn’t find too easily on KZbin. The side spin slice return/screwball isn’t something one can easily stumble on. But, such a great technique to make drops coming back more difficult

Couildn't reply to thread, so here you go. Too much credit in my direction. Cliff mentored your dad far more than me. Proud of you young man and take good care of your family.

I’m 6’1”. How low should I be at the kitchen line? Does it make sense to get low enough to touch the court with my paddle? A reference point would be very helpful, like a baseball batter tapping the plate. I should be low enough to take balls out of the air if they would otherwise land on the kitchen line, but not sure if I should always be that low or be within a couple inches of that and plan to drop down a bit for low/deep dinks.

Love the videos.. I have been playing with the same Head Gravity Lite paddle since last october. Well today my Vatic Pro V7 16mm came in and I went straight to the courts. It’s amazing what new and improved paddles can do. Can y’all make a video on how to customize paddles? (over grips, lead tape, etc). Where to put the lead tape or how to wrap the handles?

Great video. Love the new Selkirk swag. What paddle are you using? I’ve got the 003 Epic and I’d be interested to know how you’re fine tuning your paddles with tape. Thanks! Also getting great use out of my Dink Pad, FYI.

i’m using the labs 003. I also like the SLK halo. I put tape on the four corners of my paddle, it seems to make my sweet spot a lot bigger. I also weighted up the paddle pretty heavy. i probably added around 15-20gs. glad you like the dink pad! 💯

@@EnhancePickleball Thanks.I have a strip across the top but will play around with adding a bit to the bottom corners too. The base weight was really light and feels much better with some tape added.

I'm not very good but i've been using #7 a lot the past couple of months. I hit the tape sometimes but i should get a better handle on it over the summer.

In other words, Learn to play tennis and pickleball will be super easy. I have yet to see any techniques explained for pickleball that haven't been done regularly for decades on a tennis court. Tennis players are masters of spin, touch, direction, court awareness, footwork, and much more. After hitting on a pickle ball court for the first half dozen times this year, I can't believe how easy it is to use all my tennis skills and be an effective player almost right out the gate. Singles is fun, but doubles just looks silly with any technique.

Are all your tips for doubles? For your setting the dink, it make sense for doubles. But not for singles.
