Rules Question: Is it correct if the ball comes over the net, bounces, then goes backwards back over the net - can the player reach over or around the net and hit the ball before it bounces again as long as the player's paddle, body or clothing does not touch the net. I saw this explained as illegal once so thats why I ask..

Excellent! Thanks for teaching me that there is more than one ready position for the paddle. I was using the kitchen paddle position all the time.

Great video again! I really need practice these by myself. I found every time to play game with people, I don’t have time practice the drills. I subscribed your channel right way. Thank you so much.

Great tips as always. I’d be interested in having you commentate over some actual match play. Either yours or advanced level amateurs.

Great tip about the weighted tape! Are there any issues with increasing the size of the paddle like that? I mean you're making the paddle dimensions different and I would imagine someone would complain about it.....

Hey Ron! Nope, no problems with it. Most pro players do it, too. Thanks for watching!

Is there more explanation you can offer on the weighted tape? I’m not understanding what purpose it serves!

I’m curious why the PPR teaches against the split step and instead says the gather step is more effective?
@wkypickleball Жыл бұрын
I believe they are more focused on beginners and improvers. Conner is targeted more towards players that want to become advanced 3.5+.

@@wkypickleball PPR teaches this at every level. This is what they train those who are certifying to teach. They absolutely say NO MORE SPLIT STEP. It kills a lot of peoples movement/momentum. Might work in tennis when you have much more reaction time. Much shorter reaction time needed in pickleball is what they teach.
@wkypickleball Жыл бұрын
Did not know that. I’m going to the certification workshop this weekend. Going to be hard to unlearn the split step.

@@wkypickleball yeah for sure! Good luck they are a lot of fun! I got kinda year ago. You never know if things changed, pickleball has a habit of doing that haha

An under spin dink continues the spin of a topspin dink. A topspin dink reverses the spin of a topspin dink. Reversing the spin is harder.
