Enhypen "Future perfect (Pass the mic)" | Dance ranking

Firstly, wow we just hit 900 sub in the past 2 weeks. That's crazy. Secondly, the ranking changed way too often. That's why I couldn't upload the video yesterday :/ Enhypen is one of the hardest for me to analyze. Tbh, I didn't know who was going to rank first this time. They all are incredibly talented. Now let's talk about them :) Niki: First time watching the dance practice, he did not stick out to me (probably because he stood at the back). But what can I say. Niki has such a developed body control. He knows when it's appropriate to execute smoothly, sharp and powerfully. I was disappointed by his footwork, but he did capture the details. Jungwon: He is such a phenomenal dancer with so much texture. I know I highlighted him during some of the footwork section, but he is such a confusing and "inconsistent" guy, so to give him a perfect 10 is nearly impossible. If you've watched my ultimate dance analysis, I pointed out some of his weakness, aka. alignment and clarity. During the dance, he had good "body" alignment, but not the legs. They lack a lot of proper movement. Jungwon will always give me a hard time analyzing him (jk) Sunghoon: this guy keeps on improving everytime! His only struggles during this chorus, are footwork and energy (great at the beginning, but used everything up). He has made such a progress. Arm locks, footwork, dynamics are getting better. He's slowly adding more texture to his dancing, meaning I have to increase his score (in the ultimate dance). Heeseung: I'm not sure if I was the only one who noticed, but his execution was different. He has usually good texture and energy, but they were limited this time. Not sure why, but still one of the best members who captured the footwork section greatly, however they lacked proper lines. I gave him a 7 in alignment at the beginning, but I noticed that his overall body lines were pretty good. Jay: Jay has always been a clean and chill dancer, but I wished he could exaggerate more. + best leg alignment during the chorus part He got an 8 at the beginning, but clearly, I was underestimating him. Jake: another guy who keeps on improving every cb! He has come far, and he will surely keep on improving at this rate! The footwork/lower body section was the hardest to analyze. He had some good momentum where he was the only one who executes neatly, but the "overall" execution was not a top tier :/ Sunoo: Sunoo ranked last this time, but honestly speaking, I'm so proud of him for trying a choreo he's not used to. The choreo has some complicated footwork section, and unfortunately this is out of his range, but again, he always tries his best

heesung this cb did not have his usual interesting alignment and dynamics. no sign of tension and release, hip area and torso is quite stiff. it could be an injury because usually heesung is one of the most full out members.

Question how would you compare Jungwon to main dancers such as Lisa, Chae sisters, Yeji, etc.? I personally think he's better than Lisa.

@@chaeyoungslovie maybe it will sound like a surprise to you, but I don't like comparing 😅 It's mainly because they're all so different from each other. Jungwon excels in footwork but lacks clarity and angles. Yeji has great footwork with clear angles but lacks dynamics (which is Jungwons strongest point). Chaeryeong has excellent fluidity (just like Jungwon) but isn't a groovy-based dancer. Chaeyeons alignment is consistent, but rushes through the beats (while Jungwon has better sense of musicality, but again alignment issues). Lisa is partially a groovy based dancer so she's kinda comparable, but again they're both still different. Lisa has better clarity in her movements yet somehow stiff (in the torso area), and then there's Jungwon. So I don't compare unless they have some similarities. You can't compare water to fire as they work differently. Sorry for not answering your question :/

​@@psychorious That's totally fine! Yeah, now that I think of it Wonie is not entirely on their level but better than them at a few things. I'd say they're very close tho. I think if Jungwon fixes his alignment then he will be unstoppable and beat many dancers out there(except for Ni-Ki). He's got amazing musicality, textures and his isolation is hella clean and clear. I just noticed how sharp his head isolation was when he covered Svt's "Hot" I was really impressed. And his popping skill is so satisfying as well. I think he's better than a lot of main dancers but his alignments hold him back a bit that's it

All member is good at dancer .. but Wonki is so good.. for facial expression Jungwon are good (especially in mix and max because his act are on point)but for body languange i agree with you.. And Jungwon that he follow ni-ki moves but add his own style into his dance,there is a reason why Wonki always amaze people by their synchronization.. Both ni-ki or Jungwon not have any lack,they just have their own style They mentioned it in Mix and max interview,ni-ki used to dance with sexy vibes and fluidity.. And jungwon used to dance with groovy and strength control.

Sunghoon works SO hard. Even though he's been so busy with KBS MCing and so many things, he's been consistent in every stage and even the dance practice. He's really such a hardworking and talented person who def needs more appreciation.

sunghoon's commitment to the execution of the moves is next level. gotta very unique style of dancing and voice. every single step and transition has purpose and a perfect place like he thought about and went thru and cleaned every millisecond on himself but still is comes out so gracful and natural like does his hair have choreography to do too??

My ranking: 1. Ni-ki 2. Jungwon 3. Heeseung 4. Jay 5. Sunghoon 6. Jake 7. Sunoo And I have to say that I'm really proud of Sunoo and Jake. They improved a lot on their dance especially Jake who hadn't the best dance skills on Iland but look at him now.... Amazing

The 3 that caught my attention this cb were Jungwon, Sunghoon and Jay with Jay being the one that REALLY caught my attention. He’s just so cool and chill with it and I love it. I really feel like NiKi held back though but it’s probably because he was in the back for majority of the song and I felt like if he was in the front and dancing with more energy he would’ve caught my eyes more. But he’s still an incredibly good dancer and still was one of the best ones. I still have to say my top 3 were Jungwon, Sunghoon and Jay though with Jay being my favorite but this group as a whole is exceptionally talented.

Sunghoon is such a hard worker. I think at this point from both blessed cursed and future perfect, I think he is definitely better than Jay at this point and he is pretty close to Heeseung if not the same level. As you pointed out, Sunghoon's alignment is ATM the best in the group and he has gained strength to stick to positions much better and his awareness of his body lines are insane. He has taken the best aspects of his figure skating background and applied it in his dancing and it is incredible to see him transitioning very well into a hip hope kind of choreo considering how it juxtaposes several aspects of figure skating (tension in figure skating, relaxed loose and groovy in hip hop and open style, etc.) Also, Jungwon's sense of dynamics really work to his favor in making up for his weaknesses (footwork). Tbh I really hope he works on his general footwork because it is something I've noticed even as a non dancer that sticks out as a weak point in his technique ever since debut because he is so well honed in his isolations and dynamics. While Heeseung may be 4th in this choreo, I loved his footwork in this choreo. I think it is one of his best strengths. Overall thanks for this video and your hard work!!!

I agree. I need to make an update on the ultimate dance analysis. Sunghoon (and Jake) is/are the only one(s) improving their weakness! Heeseung ranked 5th (in the beginning) in case you wondered

@@psychorious I would not have been too surprised if heeseung ranked fifth tbh because he had so much upper body tension that really interfered with his ability to create interesting textures and add as much dynamics as he is capable of giving. It was so apparent in the the chorus. In this aspect he reminds me of Kai from EXO lmao, great dancer but too much tension at times that hold them back 😩

WOW Sunghoon improved so much!! He's so much more confident in his idol dancing skill. He used to seem really shy when dancing to hip hop and idol dance choreography. But now he's so confident. Now no one can say he's just a visual, his dance skill is amazing and people need to acknowledge that!

Can I say Enhypen have the strongest dance line in KPOP(unless there's an unknown group that happen to be better than them)? See we have Heeseung- Dances like he has to pay 10 rents in 1 month, energetic and powerful Jungwon- Super fluid, powerful and AMAZING CONTROL not to mention his pro popping skills and isolations DAMN Jay- Swag and Powerful and Footworks!! Jake- GROOVY and very laid back Sunghoon- Graceful yet powerful, have you seen his body line, it's beautiful, his figure skating and contemporary dance background makes his dancing look so smooth and clean Sunoo- Chill and easy, makes the hardest moves look so simple And last but not least our Ni-Ki. HE'S A DANCE PRODIGY AND DANCE MACHINE.

​@@psychorious Me neither, I think they are even stronger than ITZY. Like I've NEVER seen a group where literally every member dances well. Like even in groups I consider really strong in dancing, there's still one or two members who seem to lack some basic techniques. But when it comes to Enhypen, every member has at least some technical development, even if it's basic, and they all have great artistry and their unique style. I'd consider 5/7 of them to be main dancer material and the other 2 lead dancer level.

I'd be so interested if you'd do this for their choreography version or a performance. Imo this is the worst both heeseung & ni-ki danced the choreo, when i first watched it I was so surprised at the difference cuz it was like the style & texture they had in performances had totally disappeared, which is unusual since dance practices tend to showcase idols at their best.

In debut era, Sunghoon was #5 in dance. But he is a fast learner. Sunghoon doesn't have biggest fans inside fandom, but he is the most populer member in South Korea. Therefore, Sunghoon has many haters inside fandom. Sunghoon becoming #3 or even #1, they hate this reality (including the person with name "Sabre Mohammed", he often says bitter comments about Sunghoon)

Hello. Sorry for a late reply. I'm usually asleep during this hour + I'm a heavy sleeper 😅But yeah I just watched the relay fancam, and this is what I think. btw I'm not familiar with the group, so I'll refer the individuals by their appearance. Members who caught my eye: - the intro guy: His alignment is so impressing. The way he does not shortcut any movement and his eye for details! Wow - turquoise hair: His charismatic nature got my attention - purple hair: I like the way he plays with the music. You can see that he enjoys the music - blonde guy with dark hair stripes: He's able to showcase his body control, and at the same time make the part so interesting to watch. He gives me a main dancer vibe

Rankings like these is fun to watch, educational and they give us more insight on the actual thing. You can simply believe whatever you like and that won't change the fact that this is a subjective ranking and it's helpful

@@sskdkpop468 you are just being biased right now… how can you say that he is ”the flow-iest member” after niki??? wtf? both Heeseung and Jungwon are above him.. and esp Jungwon, he has really good skills and techniques. he has the best fluidity when he dances compared to any member of the group including Niki… maybe I shouldn’t have called him stiffhoon but idk placing him with hee or jw is just wrong….I think with his experience of contemporary dance, he could easily pull of other dance forms.. but for me he dosen’t really stand out in group dances and he seems to lack control over his body, idk but sometimes he looks so stiff dancing next to the other members like niki or jw.. he needs to gain more fluidity in his dancing.. he is doing fine rn but we cannot yet compare him with the other 2 that i mentioned.. I don’t think i even have to mention niki.. but yeah he needs to improve more.. i don’t mean to hate him in any way and my wording wasn’t the best but I hope you understand..

Its not that Im saying he's a better dancer or on the level as Jungwon and Heeseung but he's definitely not stiff "as a fact". You might find him stiff and that's your opinion but imo he's not stiff and his dance catches my eye the most/stands out the most to me after Jungwon and NiKi. Im not saying he's better nor am I being biased. Im just saying you disregarding Sunghoon's skills like this and trying to call it a fact in your OP is uncalled for.
