Gregorian can't be a chant, Gregorian is a middle age epoch depending on pope Gregor I. This is Latin, come to Germany, hear spoken modern Latin and see all these wonderful gothic churches here of the Gregorian age. Feel the power of these churches just being in, indiscribable. The Cologne cathedral is called one of the most spirutually places in this world. I am not that religious, but for sure something is there, you can feel it obviously standing there. Still today: "In Nomine Christi, Amen" (means "in the name of Christ, forever is God's word) closes catholic preaches in German churches. You're welcome!

Admittedly one of my guilty pleasure songs. Was listening to this a few weeks back while driving through the Texas countryside on a perfectly clear and sunny afternoon and when the song started to climax (around the 3:45 part) I looked over and saw these two gorgeous horses galloping and playing in this green field. I don't what it was about that transcendent moment of kairos, but it really affected me emotionally.

I just graduated from high school in 1995 and left for New york to stay with my stepbrother. I worked for a few months, and it started to snow , I am from Los Angeles, California ! Sunny suthern Cali and didn't want to spend winter freezing .. so I tried flying back home, but all the flights had been booked ! I had no choice but to come back on the Grayhound bus . The drive took me up into Chicago down to colorado to Vegas to LA . Somewhere along chicago, the bus picked up an asian girl Didnt speak english sat next to me. She wanted the window seat and I agreed . I for some reason couldnt sleep .. I was so tired .. she noticed it and handed me her walkman . I placed the headphones on and to my surprise ENIGMA Played and never had I ever heard anything like that . Dude it was so relaxing I slept like a baby . And ill always remeber her for that and the thing that bothers me is ,she never said her name and I dont even remeber how she looked . It was years ago .... its 2024 and I still love Enigma .. Take care everyone ❤️ 💕 💜 👍

He still has desires and lust for this woman, opens door to dark abyss pit,(HELL), tries to escape and run away, but finds out there is NO ESCAPE, LOSSES HIS SOUL!! Gets swallowed up by the dark abyss pit of HELL!! Wakes up to find it was all a dream or was it. SADNESS BY ENIGMA, WHAT A MASTERPIECE!

Brings a lot of memories back from 1990: leaving my first Navy duty station and being sent to the fleet to participate in Desert Shield/Desert Storm. I had this album on cassette and played the hell out of it. It kept me company as I traveled from Oregon to Yokosuka, Japan and then, a month later, from Japan to Bahrain (with a stop for a week at a small atoll called Diego Garcia, where I was about 10,000 miles from home). Lots of stress, but good music helps lower it.

This song is one of my favorites ever and I find it groundbreaking in many ways 👍. Musically, it was so different from anything you've heard before. Just the idea of mixing Gregorian chants with the Marquis de Sade theme and the arrangement with a shakuhachi flute sound and that beat is so unusual and yet so unique. Being from Germany, I am proud of Enigma, especially Michael Cretu and Sandra who have been successful in their own way before and it was so smart yet so easy of Cretu to have his vision and find the right people for it. It's logical, why try different voices when your own wife has the most suitable voice for this music? The result was a huge success worldwide. Especially in America, it's still one of the most successful albums of all time. It's really rare that German record productions sell so well, and with a sound that is anything but mainstream. Hats off 👏.
